Just finished watching the series What/If on Netflix. I don't watch any cable or broadcast television so some of the presentation was new to me.
I watched it for the actress Renee Zellweger who had a bizarre face and manner throughout the series. She portrayed evil in a way that was intriguing and off-putting.
The rest of the series had some strong actors however the writing was a cross between the old show Dallas and a Hispanic Soap opera.
Not being much in the mainstream, I was surprised at just how often the series took up the cudgels of the common culture. premarital sex, homosexuality, interracial relationships, Hispanic good - Caucasian bad, evil corporations, white evil survivalists, Arabs bad but really are good, Black good- Caucasian bad/evil. All placed in the setting of murders.
the only surprise was the emphasis on young marriage. The two leading couples were married and married young, out of high school. And babies. Babies were a longed for good.
Anyone else see it?
It was outstanding. So well acted by everyone. Did I miss something that needs a second look?
season 3 already green lighted.
which Narcos? Narcos or Narcos Mexico or both
I believe I saw them both, both the US and Mexican narcos series, and I liked them both.
i have not finished watching them yet.. I enjoy what i have seem so far
The Christian part of me felt a wee bit of guilt watching the Good Place, but enjoyed it. Wife and I had to stop watching Santa Clarita Diet - just too over the top. How is Lucifer in that way?
Wife and I didn’t see what all the hoopla was over Bird Box. To be fair Netflix picks up series from other networks that go full SJW. Had to stop watching Supergirl for that reason.
Lucifer is interesting.
He enjoys evil and his first seasons he is suggestive and jokes about his fallen ways...
example, he is always heading off to bed with the “Brittanys” which are any two blonds....
But there is no nudity no sex simuation.
The last season there is some nudity some bondage, handled in a funny way.
This is not a kids show, and it is somewhat cartoonish, but after a couple or three episodes, I really enjoyed the people and wanted to find out more.
Try it. It is not biblical, it is not supposed to be, it is a what if scenerio.
Hmmm...interesting. Can at least ad it to my “maybes”
Try Lilyhammer on Netflix.
Mobster enters WitSec and asks to be hidden in Lilyhammer, Norway.
Both he and the town “adjust” to each other.
Can you say fuggedaboutit in Norwegian?
The whole concept of Satan in the New Testament has some inconsistencies with the Old Testament. Satan being the source of evil, in opposition to God, implies some level of parity in power, which is inconsistent with God being omnipotent.
true...
