It is pronounced “shot-zee”.

Lots of Germans in the ancestors. Names dating back to the revolutionary war. One spied on the relatives in the Huesen camp for George W. Family legend says they stole the white horse that Tully painted GW riding and stampeded the others in corral. Both in that generation signed the BRadford Accord that the Declaration of Indepence was modeled after!
May have been poor German dirt farmer, but they sure knew how to get things done! Their granddaughter. Married a TRUMPF from the area of Germany they came from.

Wonderful stories!
My MIL name is Hannalore (sp?)
For a wedding gift, she gave us a photo album from her youth, and then she met Warren, my FIL.
She also had a pic of the ship she came over on.
I think it was The Neptune, (I think).
Also have pics of when she became an American citizen.
She was so lovely when she was young!
She’s tall and long legged like Melania!
