When hubby and I started dating, one day he called me Schatzie, which is a Greman word for darling.
It is pronounced “shot-zee”.

I always thought it was a cute nickname!

That’s a nick name our family uses. Didn’t know what it meant or where it came from. OR How to spell it. German ancestors here! Makes sense now.
