On Wednesday, Pres and Mrs Trump leave London for Portsmouth, England, to take part in a National Commemorative event, a day before the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion. The Trumps will spend the night in Ireland, before heading to Normandy on Thursady for the D-Day Anniv.

It came at the end of a busy day for the President in which he held a joint press conference with Theresa May, met privately with Nigel Farage, and avoided a smaller-than-expected protest in central London.

And somebody who claims to have 22 yrs experience in this kind of stuff weighs in and makes the case nothing untowards is going on here. Could be media selling this as a dick move by NY State authorities are wrong.

Please--he's going to Rikers because he's being sent from federal custody to the custody of NY State to face the charges brought against him by the Manhattan DA's office. After those charges are resolved, he'll go back into federal custody. This is NOT a story. Happens EVERY DAY

OK this helps clear it up. As long as NY authorities fully intend to pursue their own charges, this is the established procedure. Manafort's camp of course sells this as a nefarious payback thing.

This is done to protect his trial rights -- like the right to be close and available to meet with his attorney for purposes of facilitating the assistance of counsel in his state case. If the Bur. of Prisons sent him to Texas, that would compromise his trial rights in New York.

So it looks like Manafort's camp contacted the media and sold this move to Riker's as some kind of vindictive out-of-the-blue thing instead of being the long established process when a federal prisoner is remanded to state custody to face state charges.

I think its thanks to Kellyanne and Stephen writing in our President's beliefs (he's really in touch with our President) Kellyanne was determined to make our President very good at speaking. We whinned when she came in and insisted he learn the teleprompter and speeches but she really knew the importance didn't she?

I agree that her arrival coincided with a big improvement in Trump’s speeches.

Before, he sounded like a Member of the Board talking to shareholders.
After, he still sounded like he was talking to shareholders, but with a polirician’s fllare.
