Mueller begins- Good morning and thank you for being here. 2 years ago I was asked to serve as SC, and the appt order directed us to investigate Russian interference.

I am speaking out today because investigation is complete and the AG has made the report public. The office is closing and I am resigning from DOJ to return to private life. I will make a few remarks, but the written work should speak for itself.

As alleged in an indictment, the Russians launched an attack to hack into computers and networks used by Clinton campaign. Leaked through fake online identities and through wikileaks. Timed to damage candidate and disrupt the election. Russian citizens posed as Americans.

Obstruction, strikes at the core of the gov efforts to find the truth and hold people accountable. Report has two parts, 1st details russian influence, including a discussion of campaign response and our conclusion that there was insufficient evidence to charge

On obstruction- order appointing authorized us to investifgate things that COULD obstruct. If we had confidence the president did not comitt a crime we would have said so. We did not make that decision. States that a potus cant be charged with a crime while in office

SC part of DOJ, charging the president with a crime not an option that we could consider. 1st the opinion explicity permits the investigation of a sitting president, among other things it could be used if there were coconspirators. Also, the constiution requires impeachment

It would be unfair to accuse someone of a crime when there can be no court resolution. From them we concluded that we would not reach a determination about whether the potus committed a crime. We will not comment on any other conclusions

The AG concluded it was appropriate to provide report to congress. We don’t question AG faith in making report public. I wont be speaking again, no one has told me I can or shouldnt speak further. No testimony would go beyond our report.

The report is my testimony, I would not provide more. Access to our underlying work product is being discussed outside of the SC. Before I step away, I want to thank the FBI attorneys, agents, etc who helped us conduct this investigation in a fair and independent manner.

Mueller basically just said “hey congress, if you need me to give you the OK for impeachment, by all means go ahead and try it”. Mueller is a deep state plant. These people are in trouble and they know it. Game on.

Andy McCarthy agrees that this was a door to impeachment.

Says it is simply not true that Mueller could not make a call on indicting the President.

It was his job to do that!!!

I have no problem with Judge Moore and I believe he was slimed in the Senate election, but if you can't fight off the scum, we need someone else to run for the Senate.

I agree. And how can you be guilty of "obstruction" when there is no crime???

However, you know the Dims will say "Well, we have to keep investigating, because there is a crime there somewhere, we just need more time to find it."

Trump mandated declassification, then let's get it out there! I'm tired of hearing about "what we will hear will be epic". Let's get it on!

Yet Robert Mueller did not address the multiple systematic LEAKS to the media from his investigative team. Again he asserts that Russia “interfered” w/2016 election but WHY should we accept his conclusion when FBI was denied access to *hacked* DNC computer?

To me he is just trying to get out ahead of DECLAS and the IG Report, he knows what’s coming.

I didn’t have much respect for Mueller before, now I have absolutely NONE!!!

Nasty is really going to have a tough time herding her renegade dims.

She knows impeachment is a NO win for the dims so I say bring it on.

What I saw was an angry Mueller who didn’t really say anything different, but his emphasis on having sufficient evidence to say the president did NOT commit a crime, they would have said so, was a nice little can of gasoline for the dems to throw on the impeachment fire.

Well, Nanzi has to decide what to do now. If they take the impeachment path I think it will not bode well for them. Mueller really did get the message across that the president committed a crime but couldn’t be charged. Shame on him.
