It’s all downhill from 27, new research reveals.

At least if you’re a millennial, chronic conditions and diseases start to rear their heads in your late-20s, and from there things continue to deteriorate, according to a new Blue Cross/Blue Shield report.

Millennials as a generation are in overall poorer health than their predecessors, Gen X-ers, with higher rates of depression, hyperactivity, substance misuse, type 2 diabetes and Crohn’s disease, among other chronic conditions.

The report authors warn that the healthcare community needs to be aware that millennials are facing growing and perhaps unprecedented health concerns that could cost them years of life and cost the US economy money and productivity. […]

When the researchers narrowed their focus to older millennials, ages 34-36, they found higher rates of nearly all of the top 10 most common conditions than were seen in generation X at the same ages — despite the fact that 83 percent of millennials think they are in “good” or “excellent” health. …

Young people today grew up without spending much time outside. Many are still glued to their gaming consoles and never exercise. They are getting heavier at younger ages than previous generations. Cultural acceptance and promotion of sexual perversion and the proliferation sexually immoral content contributes to increased mental illness.

The internet is slowly killing us.

Of you base your life around being a neurotic, angry outrage monger who's greates pleasure is finding something to get triggered over, you can expect some stress / anxiety related conditions.

Our leftist dominated media and academia have literally subjected this generation to an early death unless they get their heads straight and stop blowing a blood vessel every time someone says some public figure from 100 years ago once said something mean.

I think it’s because we grew up in sterile urban environment compared with our parents and grandparents who grew up on farms.

You are the first generation to be completely consumed by not only environmental toxins (in the air, in your water, in your food) and completely immersed in EMF (cough*pulsating microwaves*cough). Now couple that with the fact that your feet rarely touch the earth (grounding) and you are rarely exposed to bacteria in dirt.

I lived in the Seattle area for 46 years. I bicycle commuted for about 15 years until cell phones and texting made it too dangerous. But we still hiked. I never “jogged/ran” because I have flat feet and value my knees.

My wife and I are both 65 now with no health insurance. We’re doing GREAT, though my wife has to take allergy pills. It’s because we live on 32 acres in Kentucky now, in the middle of nowhere.

BTW, thank God for Amazon Prime.

Germany had the draft for decades; only abolished it in 2011. But they also had the same kind of abolition of the family we did.

They are a fat bunch. All the physical ailments relate to obesity and poor diet.

I think I can owe my relatively good health to the fact I played outside a lot as a kid, I used to actually walk around barefoot a lot, too, my feet developed big-time callouses, so after awhile walking around barefoot was nothing.

Mid 60’s and going strong. The youngsters at work are always having health issues. ( Or are they just taking 3 day weekends?) I haven’t taken a sick day in at least 15 years. Still they seem to be the preferred employees.. whatever.
