I lived in the Seattle area for 46 years. I bicycle commuted for about 15 years until cell phones and texting made it too dangerous. But we still hiked. I never “jogged/ran” because I have flat feet and value my knees.
My wife and I are both 65 now with no health insurance. We’re doing GREAT, though my wife has to take allergy pills. It’s because we live on 32 acres in Kentucky now, in the middle of nowhere.
BTW, thank God for Amazon Prime.
I’ll let Jeff Bezos know. ;)
Not on Medicare yet?
I was let go at Hughes Aircraft in ‘89, and my wife and I had no health insurance until we each got Medicare.
I started Social Security a few months before I turned 66, back in 2012.
My wife is older and retired earlier at 62.
Ah, the joys of being self employed. Still at it, making things happen.
