Russia launched the worlds longest submarine today, the special mission submarine Belgorod. Designed to support a variety of military missions, including the Poseidon long-range strategic nuclear torpedo, the sub is far larger than anything operated by any other naval force, including the U.S. Navy. The six hundred foot long submarine displaces more water than a World War I battleship and can dive to a depth of 1,700 feet.

How long before they lose this one?
In Russia, submarine launch you.
I guess size always matters when it’s full of seamen??
can dive to a depth of 1,700 feet.
It can dive as deep as the ocean bed.
But it can only do it once.
That Poseidon torpedo that has a range of “thousands of miles” and a top speed of 60 knots is pretty impressive and this sub carries six of them. Oh, and each has a payload of two mega-tons of nuke excitement. Let’s see..where will the first one go?
This one come with a screen door like the other ones lying at the bottom of the ocean?
My immediate reaction on reading that dive depth was and I darn sure dont want to be on board!
I await the upcoming CNN non-stop coverage of this sub’s Collusion with a rock.
Probably loud as all get-out.
Aw any submarine can do that. Any surface vessel for that matter.
What is Putin compensating for?
Then I wish it well...we don't need all that poisonous nuclear waste drifting around the ocean wrecking the fishing industry.

Ive never seen tent propellers before.
Those clever Russians.
Pingsky.
Murmansk has fallen out of favor ?
Interesting...
No doubt this sub will have trailing company as it heads to sea. And with all it’s impressive characteristics, it makes me think back to how Russians always produce the best of everything, all you have to do is listen to their claims.
