During the 2018 Midterms in the United States, strange signs started appearing at political rallies. Held up by non-descript attendees, the signs read simply, We are Q. For those Trekkers out there, you might be confused: no, these rallygoers were not making an oblique reference to the infamous Star Trek: The Next Generation character portrayed by John de Lancie. The group appeared from the fringes of internet chat rooms, such as on the website of 4Chan, a peculiar mixture of cyberpunks and various online misfits.
Q is derived from an anonymous poster on the internet forum, a source claiming to have a top secret clearance with the U.S. intelligence community. This person (or group of people) spun an intricate conspiracy theory that many Far Right activists on gonzo internet forums picked up and began disseminating to wider audiences online and in their communities.
The conspiracy goes like this: the real purpose of the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation was not to investigate Donald Trump, but instead to investigate Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and people like former Hillary Clinton campaign chairman, John Podesta. The QAnon conspiracy theory is far-reaching, with new pieces added with regularity, in the form of what Q supporters refer to as breadcrumbs. One such addition to the conspiracy theory last year was that the Mueller probe was also looking into the now-deceased Senator John McCain (R-AZ) for his illegal activities.
What is the ultimate end of the QAnon conspiracy; what does Mueller hope to achieve, according to them?
That part, like most conspiracy theories, is conveniently not knowable. The Mueller investigation, having ended in a whimper rather than the bang the Trump-hating Fake News was hoping for, should have been the end of the QAnon conspiracy theory. QAnon conspiracy theorists have simultaneously argued that the ultimate target of the Mueller investigation is either the Deep State of nefarious anti-American, globalist actors, or the aim is to pursue high-profile pedophiles in the United States government and in other powerful circles related to the government.
QAnons Pernicious Connections to Pizzagate
Now for the most pernicious aspect of the QAnon conspiracy theory. In 2016, conspiracists on 4Chan and other similar fringe messaging boards claimed that the emails stolen from Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podestas (and subsequently made public by WikiLeaks) contained secret messages referring to a powerful ring of pedophiles who were using a local Washington, D.C. pizzeria as a base of operations to conduct their crimes. None of these claims were true. But, what ended up happening was that the highly irresponsible conspiracy theory triggered a mentally unstable man, who in turn took a gun to a D.C. pizzeria with intent to use it.
The source material for these theories is the vile, uber-fringe 4Chan and 8Chan. 4Chan was launched in 2003 as a place to share images and discuss Japanese anime. In fact, it was modeled on the Japanese anime internet boards, such as Futaba Channel. Over time, though, the already eclectic group of online personalities that 4Chan attracted devolved into something darker. It became a haven for crazed conspiracy theorists from both sides of the political divide. 4Chan also became popular among the white nationalist community, and also became a place for hackers and other criminalsincluding child pornographers. If there was a Hell on the internet, 4Chan was Hell.
Meanwhile, a similar website, created by gonzo software developer, Frederick Brennan, 8Chan was launched in 2013 as a response to what Brennan believed was the rise in authoritarianism, censorship, and surveillance on 4Chan. Despite the fact that 8Chan has become the 3,857th most viewed website in the world, with an average of 35,000 unique visitors per day and 400,000 original posts per day, it too has become mired in controversy. 8Chan, which has been billed as the more libertarian (though, perhaps libertine would be better) 4Chan, has apparently become a hub of international child pornography postings. This became such a problem that, in 2015, 8Chan was blacklisted by Google search. It is a profound understatement to claim that anything positive or good comes from these boards. Yet, it is precisely from sites like these that the Pizzagate and now the QAnon conspiracy theories emanate.
Alternative media figures, such as Mike Cernovich, have also furthered the Pizzagate and QAnon conspiracy theories. Some of these individuals have massive social media followings. With big internet names furthering the conspiracies, it was only a matter of time before disaster struck. In 2016, when the pizzeria shooting happened, several media outlets attempted to lay the blame at the feet of people like Cernovich. This only gave the Fake News Industrial Complex more fuel in their ongoing war against President Trump and the Right.
The very same group of internet Alt-Right activists and online forums that furthered the Pizzagate conspiracy have also spread the QAnon conspiracy theory.
Here are some of the other bizarre, totally inaccurate predictions that QAnon has made:
01/21/18 A flood was alleged to be coming. A flood consisting of various forms of media that I imagine were supposed to implicate somebody in something nefarious. Sadly, this flood never came.
01/21/18 Q makes some very certain claims about the Nunes Memo, which of course do not come remotely true when the memo is released a couple weeks later.
01/22/18 Q posts a confirmed fake Podesta email, then promptly deletes it. But not before his followers have time to notice. 02/09/18 Next week [Next week] was declared suicide weekend. Nothing came to pass.
02/21/18 Q predicts that the founder of Twitter is removing accounts because he and his Deep State friends are in deep trouble. Nothing came to pass.
03/15/18 Q declares March Madness and that the public will soon know. Nothing came to pass.
04/02/18 April was supposed to be a BIG month, full of happenings including but not limited to arrests, the release of the IG report, the wall, military start, and unsealed indictments. Nothing came to pass.
Where Does QAnon Go From Here?
Things have gotten even stranger for the QAnon conspiracists now that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has submitted his final report. While the report has not yet been made public, Attorney General William Barr has seen it, and he has issued a summary of the report.
AG Barr explains that Mueller has not proven any collusion or coordination between President Donald Trump, his top 2016 campaign staffers, and Russian intelligence. The focus of the investigation was Donald Trump and his 2016 presidential campaign. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Podesta, or even John McCain were not targets of the Mueller probe in any way as Q promised.
The fact that the QAnon conspiracy theory is tied in with the Pizzagate fiasco is bad enough. The more damaging part is that these cult-like actors link themselves to the Trump movement, despite the fact that no member of the Trump movement has anything to do with these insane theories. They are the outgrowth of a pathetic group who exist online, in the dark corners of the worldwide web. That they have attached their delusions to the Trump movement is unfortunate.
But, they do not represent and are not affiliated with President Trump, his supporters, or those who work for the president.
Recently, some Q supporters have insisted that certain pictures of President Trump and key advisers in the White House prove that they are, in fact, members of the Q conspiracy because their positioning makes it appear as though they are displaying subliminal messages about Q. These internet personalities claim to be supporting the President. Yet, consistently, their actions have shown that they are not allies of the President. They damage and besmirch the Trump movement with their irresponsible actions.
In that their actions, both directly and indirectly, aid those who would do damage to the Make America Great Again Agenda and see it fail. Whoever Q or QAnon may be, they are most decidedly not close to the President, they are not Conservatives, and with every post they make, they subvert the MAGA Agenda.
The Seb Gorka article has quite literally facts numbered. Numbered proofs.
There’s plenty me showing how the #QAnon scammers outed themselves. Enjoy as much truth as you can take where you wish. Magacoalition.com
Ok, time for lunch. I’m going out to eat seaside with Julian Assange and Q.
You know Julian has been free for a year. If you disagree, you’re a shill. LOL!
No amount of fact gets through to some.
You refuse to look at readily available proof of a thing that would ACTUALLY BE A GOOD THING for you and dismiss it out-of-hand based on emotions alone and accuse ME of shoddy critical thinking?
The irony is palpable.
I don't think critical thinking means what you think it means.
And stop trying to sound smart when you prove you aren't more and more with each post.
I don't know how some of you people don't bump your heads just walkin' around.
“The Q team”
There is no Q and no Q team. There’s only QAnon scammers.
We don’t need to prove anything. We have cited facts.
Prove your false idol exists.
The Q team
There is no Q and no Q team. Theres only QAnon scammers.
We dont need to prove anything. We have cited facts.
Prove your false idol exists.
Once again, you have proved nothing. All I see from you now is PANIC.
CGato
I’m sitting here yawning. There is no panic here; there was no “BOOM” predicted again last month and there’s nothing but doddering foolishness here incapable of even reading an article by a friend and advisor of President Trump.
I’ll bet you didn’t read it either. But like the clown show at the circus, the goofiness rolls in when the false idol is shown to have no clothes.
Sad.
LOL
Again I asked you where Q said it
Not where the maga grifter Porka said it
Try again
Hey I heard bagster said you said you love q and can’t wait for it to be proven real
See how that works...
That must be why hearsay evidence is never
allowed in court
But I guess if I were you and only has pathetic hearsay, I would desperately cling to that too.
Ummm okay
Your personal attacks are unwarranted. Hahahahahaha.
Being paid for a one-time event event...
I get it. You didn't even read my DETAILED post proving that Gorka didn't get paid for a "one time event" but was on the payroll for "consulting fees" for three months straight, as reported to the FEC, which you yourself tout.
And then you repeat the lie as if it's the truth.
You, sir, are intellectually bankrupt and a big, fat liar.
And you continue to attack (a) messenger with Alinsky tactics with no regard for any truths he might have.
I'm not sure why you think Cates is my "hero". It's not like I've been leg-humping him over the course of this thread like you've done with MAGADERP COALITION and their paid "consultant" Gorka.
Your tactics, like your intellect and integrity, are greatly flawed.
Have a nice morning.
For the record, Gorka is not a Trump "insider". He was fired by President Trump. Why?
If he was not "read in" to the Q program, then he is unaware of it. He is obviously a political animal and if I were running the Q op, I wouldn't trust any "politicians" with opsec. He obviously had no problem being influenced by "consulting fees" from a shady organization. Would you trust him? Or would you fire him?
Just another dose of common sense for you to process (or not).
Your Q-attack mode says different. You're nothing but a cheerleader for a suspicious site which spreads falsehoods about the Q movement, much like our enemy media does.
There is no logical way a real maga site can be on the same page as the enemy media but it is and you continue to pimp it here and all those falsehoods.
Maybe you can explain to us why they are BOTH on the same attack-Q page?
CGato
Wait. You cited facts?
Tell me the one about Gorka getting a "one time payment" for an "event".
I like that fact. Or the one about him being a Trump "insider". That's my second favorite fact.
Other than that, meh.
A little short on facts, you ask me.
But keep trying sparky.
p.s. Tell us more about your chats with communists and scientologists. I'm all ears.
“You refuse to look at readily available proof...”
No, as I said, I’ve already looked and plenty of these so-called “proofs” and found them all extraordinarily wanting. So I have no reason to believe any more of them will suddenly be compelling, especially since Q has already been proven a fraud many times over.
Some of these people will still be saying “Q is real!” in 2024, when Trump is leaving office, and all the ridiculous predictions have still failed to come true.
Thankfully, though, this con game does have a shelf life. After that point, and probably before it, they won’t be able to sucker any new people into believing in the scam. Sure, the ones who have already bought into it and are committed will persist, but they won’t be able to hook any new suckers because they’ll have hit that expiration date.
You can read Seb Gorka’s article if you are up to reading and comprehending.
No one can hear you through the childish noise.
Say hi to your pal who you quote, Creepy Porn Paper Boy.
Squirt! Squirt!
And yet here we are 600+ comments in and you still haven’t proven one of you alleged “proofs”
All have been shot down like the Whidbey island missile (I mean helicopter wink wink)
Or Your hearsay crap that someone said someone else said something
And my favorite a picture on airforce 1 isn’t a picture of airforce one cause there are other pictures of AF1
Meow, kitty. Yeah, it’s a real panic now. We’re afraid of the “Boom” that never happened again.
Ok, back to drinks with Julian Assange and Q. So happy Q got Julian Assange freed a year ago.
LOL!
No one made any personal attack. Seb Gorka is an advisor and friend of President Trump. Your QAnon source Brian was just highlighted and now you are sad.
Squirt! Squirt!
Are you really gonna persist in focusing on Cates when the point is the actual FEC filings and MAGACoalition records that I also posted to you?
It helps if you read the evidence presented to you and not keep harping on your lie and diverting.
I name you liar and fraud, sir. And I do that because that is what you are.
One more time. You said Gorka got a "one time payment". I demonstrated he got 20k/mo for three months for "counslting fees". The record is clear. The FEC records, btw.
Your diversion to Cates and his alleged bukkake fetish notwithstanding. You were caught straight up in a lie, and now you dance. You do the bukkake dance of desperation.
Face facts. Your MAGADERP Coalition AND your Sebastian Derpa are not worth the MAGA hat they rode in on, just like you.
Find another Q "debunker" to plant your lips on. These are not the derps you're looking for.
And stop lying.
Oh, and have a wonderful day.
Remind us what's the 17th letter of the aphabet?
I'm sure it's just a coincidence
Or maybe you have a tweet where gorka says Q is the 12th letter of the alphabet. LOL
So what do you base YOUR theory on? That Gorka "resigned".
Which seems more realistic?
Do you neven know how the world works?
The man was fired. The way it works is Kelly, Chief of Staff (also a derp) "asks" Gorka for his "resignation", with the full backing and authority of the President. He wouldn't fire somebody in that position without it.
So Gorka writes up a nice letter of resignation and claims he was frustrated with the inner workings of the White House.
He then goes on to "badmouth" those most likely really responsible for his firing, Trump's Q team. Remember, they are NSA/Military Intelligence and they "have everything".
So, yea. Gorka is pissed at certain "elements" within the Trump White House. The ones that discovered his dirt.
And if common sense and understanding how the real world works isn't enough for you, an "unnamed staffer" says that Gorka "didn't resign" but no longer works at the White House.
I suppose that could be pure BS, but not likely.
Bottom line is, he was FIRED.
You really got to stop believing the cover stories the media tells you. We don't get down like that no more. Not since Trump/Q came to town.
Tell me. Did Paul Ryan retire from Congress to spend more time with his family?
You believe that one too?
I swear, you anti-Q cultists are so stuck in the matrix, It's really kinda embarrassing.
#SnapOutOfIt
#TakeTheRedPill
Maybe you can explain to us why they are BOTH on the same attack-Q page?
I already know the answer but I want to hear your explanation as to why the corrupt enemy media and maga coalition are on the same attack-Q page.
