I was setting out to do what I could to preserve the youtube from my previous post on this thread, #569.

Title of the youtube:

I was going to go so far as to transcribe it. I was 1:47 in, when I heard this citation from Area 17:

Area 17 states:
"This was uploaded by Real True News on October 13th. ….."

WAIT!!!!! A few days ago, someone asked me what I knew about “Real True News” as a source. I didn’t dig deep, but at the time, I was not disposed to think they were a reliable source. I promptly forgot about it….. until I transcribed that web site name, REAL TRUE NEWS. The dime dropped. I had missed that source citation both times I had listened through that video.

YIKES! AREA 17 (AND I) HAVE PROBABLY BEEN TROLLED!

I OWE ALL AN APOLOGY, ESPECIALLY MIKE PENCE AND PAUL RYAN. THOSE EMAILS PROBABLY ARE NOT GENUINE.

From “the about page” on Real TrueNnews at the link just above:

“REALTRUENEWS / THE RESISTOR IS SATIRE. IT'S SAD WE HAVE TO SAY THIS--BUT WE DO. NOTHING ON HERE IS REMOTELY REAL.”

Just based on the above quote taken directly from the Real News “about” page, I now equate “REAL TRUE NEWS = “ONION” ...or worse.

I will need a LOT more proof that those emails are genuine. I do not believe they are.

The last email cited was of the Real True News guy saying that he didn't think Paul Ryan meant to copy him to the email thread should have been a clue. IMHO, this was a TROLL EMAIL THREAD.

AGAIN, TO RANSOMNOTE, and ALL WHO LOOK TO OUR FREE REPUBLIC Q THREADS FOR NEWS, I TENDER MY REGRET AND APOLOGY FOR THIS STORY ABOUT RYAN AND PENCE AS BEING POSSIBLE PLOTTERS.

I HAVE NO PROOF OF THIS. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED IT IS NOT TRUE.

It’s ok TEXOKIE, everyone makes mistakes. The problem now is people who will not read your mea culpa and run with the fake satire emails as facts.

PLEASE everyone, read post #727 of TEXOKIE before you get all excited about Pence and Ryan and those emails. Sadly I think this will be repeated, rinsed and repeated for a while.

My confirmation bias actually kept me on the fence on this one. I was inclined to think it was true of PR, but disinclined to think it true of MP. Though the whole package made me want to watch him more closely!

Thank you TEXOKIE. I recommend anyone who had gone down this rabbit hole ping the mods and have their posts pulled from the thread. This post should stay and even be reposted or referenced if the topic comes up again.

The thing is ... it is totally believable that Ryan and Pence were discussing the possibility of Trump stepping down as nominee in the wake of the Billy Bush tapes.

There was A LOT OF SMOKE ... such as Pence setting up a national organization in-waiting etc.

This was INCREDIBLY WEAK on both their parts, but not treasonous.

Pence has tried to be loyal ever since, but has not completely won me back. I would vote for him of course if he is the 2024 nominee, but probably would not support him in the primaries.

Ryan, I hope, is DEAD as far as future national office after he shined on the President for most of his first year in office, and never stopped sabotaging the WALL.
