It should come as no surprise that Michelle Obama took early inspiration from a character with "superhuman strength." Even if that superhero wore pigtails.
In an interview for Jenna Bush's new Open Book video series on TODAY, Mrs. Obama recalls the first book love of her life: Pippi Longstocking.
"I was really fascinated with this strong little girl that was the center of everything. And she was almost magical in a way. I mean, she was stronger and tougher than anyone. She had superhuman strength," Mrs. Obama told TODAY.
She was drawn to the character's quirks, and notes that no one ever explains why Pippi lives alone, or who takes care of her: "She took care of herself."

Ugh is that Jenna Bush. The Bushes love the Obamas and really dislike the people that put them in office.
Pippi Longstocking is being denied and derided in her native land, with the invasion of the Muslims in the once great nation of Sweden. The power of Nordic females has been vastly eroded and now these paragons of strength and wisdom are discarded like yesterday’s dirty clothing.
Michelle still thinks she is magical and superhuman. But I think Pippi probably outgrew that stage.

Actually, this is where the mooch departed from Pippi. The people took care of Michelle. They gave her the largest staff ever in the White House, she was given vacations beyond anyone’s wildest dreams and basically a private plane which she didn’t have to share rides with her husband the President. She relied on her Hollywood friends to promote her. And yet, she continued to complain about her sacrifice as First Lady, she couldn’t open WH windows, she couldn’t shop without SS tagging along and her misery was evident in her continued scowl.
He is so like Pippi.

I hate these people. Every day I watch how they collude to hamstring President Trump while doing their evil best to remake America into a third world crap hole.
Every time I think I’ve hit the maximum level of hate for them, I find they inspire just a little more hate.
Is that a blasted Bush! I can’t stand the Bushes much more than the Obamas.
I can’t tell you why, but she reminds me of Magic Johnson ;)

And she complained about living in a house allegedly built by slaves.
Actually, the White House was gutted and completely reconstructed from 1948-1952, so Michelle was living in a house likely built by union labor.
