I don’t see Sessions as a casualty, that would mean wounded. He served and sacrificed; one of his sacrifices was tolerating being vilified, along with Trump’s criticisms; which imho were part of the fog of war, done to keep the derps thinking that Sessions was doing nothing.
Take a look at how he voted on the legislation that said that Obama could negotiate a deal with Iran, and it would be valid if 50 percent of the Senate voted for it, instead of the 2/3 necessary for a treaty. That was a Corker deal. I believe that shows he was very dirty. I never believed that a majority vote can take away the right of 1/3 of the Senate to block a treaty, but it was never challenged.
I’m quoting what I posted above, about Chaffetz, I can find link again if anyone wants it. He didn’t see much difference between the Trump admin and Obola. IMHO Sessions didn’t give him what he wanted because Chaffetz was not 100% trustworthy:
Heres a statement Chaffetz made to Sheryl Atkisson when he quit his House position in the summer of 2018:
Chaffetz indicated he was disappointed with the Trump administration. Hed hoped a Republican administration would make completing the Oversight Committees ongoing investigations easier but found he was receiving the same pushback, red tape, and stonewalling hed experienced from the Obama administration.
The outgoing Congressman noted a particular frustration with the Justice Department.
The reality is, sadly, I dont see much difference between the Trump administration and the Obama administration. I thought there would be this, these floodgates would open up with all the documents we wanted from the Department of State, the Department of Justice, the Pentagon. In many ways, its almost worse because were getting nothing, and thats terribly frustrating and with all due respect, the Attorney General has not changed at all. I find him to be worse than what I saw with Loretta Lynch in terms of releasing documents and making things available. I just, thats my experience, and thats not what I expected.
I mean, we have been in court trying to pry those documents out of the Department of Justice and still to this day, they will not give us those documents. And at the State Department, nothing. Stone cold silence.
Just so I’m clear, you think Sessions is dirty because he voted for the Corker deal? I would need to know all the details. I believe someone up the thread made reference to Corker’s deceitfulness or some other word in this connection.
I did quote above that Sessions said he would not vote for the Iran deal.
A lot of this congressional voting crap is so convoluted and arcane I cannot really plumb its depths, without hours of study and even then....
I found the roll call.
Again this wasn’t a vote on the Iran agreement.
It was a vote on reviewing the Iran Agreement-H.R. 1191 (Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015 )
search for Sessions - he voted yea
Boxer didn’t vote.
Mark
Corker was dirty, not Sessions, for pushing that deal.
Something else to keep somewhere.
The email is in here. Part of it is Classified an therefore redacted.
I don't understand the Chaffetz dislike so I must be missing something. I watch him on Fox often and he has always supported the President 100%. He comes down hard on Congress though and especially the turncoats on the GOP side. He has stated plainly that the reason nothing was done was Congress and not the President. The only thing I have seen him disappointed with the President over has been declassing but he mentions that maybe he's waiting for a better time. I dunno!
I heard him say once on Fox that he was disgusted with Congress not getting anything done regarding their refusal to prosecute Clinton, etc. and he felt muzzled. He said getting out makes it easier for him to speak his mind.
MOST interesting take on Sessions. He was MISPLACED****************************************************If true about Sessions, he was just a typical pol, putting his interests ahead of the country and in doing so, seriously undercutting and damaging DJT.
“Why would he take the job knowing he would have to recuse?”
Because... the recusal provides political cover for Huber... who is investigating DOJ/FBI abuses.
Don’t cross that out of your script*********************************Haven’t crossed it out but think it unlikely...would be wonderful though if they were “turned”.
Sessions was a senator who went along**********************If true, clearly the wrong man for the job...lacking integrity and guts...by not helping Trump, he was helping the DS.

HL, this makes a lot of sense. And it also explains why Cruz, though he quit campaigning, tried to usurp the will of the voters and try to win at the convention. The Bushweeds desperately wanted to stop Trump, but giving the press time to dig deeper into the Oswald story was a little too close for comfort.
It also goes to show the great intel Trump has. As you've explained many times, Trump's connected to people who know the inside story. And no doubt, this is a key skill required to build skyscrapers in big cities like Chicago and New York.
Trump was trained by Fred Trump to be extremely careful and to watch like a hawk your own business: to look out for stupid architects, dumb builders, and crooked contractors and politicians. In fact, he said a few words about this during his CPAC speech.
This on-the-job training had more than prepared him for the Presidency -- a 100 times more preparation being a Senatorial Homecoming Queen and preening yourself at a mirror for six years.
Or, in the smelly hag Senator's case: running around the globe extorting money from Arab dictators, stealing from Haitian disaster victims, and selling America's uranium to the Russians.
"Agreed. On Everything. Its complicated. Patience is a requirement."
"Was needing clarifications for the different approaches to Trump and Q regarding Sessions."
"""One never critiques Sessions and the other gives him no quarter."""

Haha, yea. I sure dorked that one.
