When plagued by dry eyes I put “boric acid ointment for eyes” in each eye when retiring.
It gives me enough relief that I can get to sleep and make it through the night.

Mix all together and pour over your roast, carrots, small yellow or red potatoes, onions.

That sounds good. I sometimes add a small can of diced tomatoes or V8 juice (We like broth with tomatoe base). Also usually tuck a Bay leaf or two along the side.
