Doesn't putting in the GenTeal Gel drops help? When mine are really, really bad I put them in at night.

No they don’t help that much. When I’m really dry, nothing helps. It doesn’t even feel like I’m putting drops in.

I keep drops and a humidifier by my bed, and I have to get up every couple hours and put some in. Luckily I wake up when the burning feeling starts or is at least strong enough to wake me.

Sorry ladies, I’m going to have to bail on you for now. My dry eyes are not getting any better, even with steroid drops and everything else I am doing. The next thing I need to try is to take a couple weeks off the phone / computer / tablet. And see if that helps at all. I’m to the point where I’m ready to try anything, even the thousand-dollar out-of-pocket procedures that are offered. But I have to wait until March 8th to see the ophthalmologist.

So here is the Ping list if anyone wants to take it over. If you want to wait till I get back to normal - or at least functional, that would be great, but I can’t promise when it will be. So I’ll understand if you want to move ahead and I’ll just read it when I can.

Just realize that I ought to explain, after I said I would still do the Saturday book thing.

All of a sudden I realized it wasn’t just Saturdays!

That I would have to read the book :-) and that means trying to read the tiny print in the books or read it on the tablet.

And then after that I would have to be on some electronic device to find what everyone else is saying. That’s the fun and the educational part. And I’m sorry that I’m just not up to doing that right now.

I do think I’m getting better, it’s just not as quickly as I would like. So I want to do everything I can to speed this up. And I know the question how many hours a day are you on an electronic device as one of the things the doctors ask!
