The usually language indicates that in the event you are incapacitated your attorney's can obtain two doctors who concur that you are medically brain dead you can turn off life support. If you do not appoint your children you could also appoint a lawyer who you trust to do this.
Everything depends on who has that POA or AD. Her physicians and the hospital know this information and will consult before making any end of live decisions. You usually answer the end of life question on admittance to the hospital. HIPPA laws would not allow this information to be released. I think its unlikely that the DNC has any control over her medical care or end of life decisions. She might have requested that they not turn off life support until Trump is out of office I suppose! :)

One is not technically a lame duck if one is running for re-election. That should be the argument.
Might want to reread the Constitution with regards to arresting Representatives and Senators. It protects them against misdemeanor arrest both during and during transit to/from congressional sessions, but for felonies and other more serious crimes there is no protection.
