Have you seen the design for the Bollard Fence Design (steel slat picket-fence) that DJT has been talking up this week ? What do you think of it ? How penetrable ?
The design features a see through capability, which has plusses and minuses. Steel like spikes crown each picket. Costs would be considerably less. Construction time minimized. Trump calls it beautiful. It certainly is more appealing than a concrete wall.
Your thoughts please
... with the tapered spike , wouldn’t any lasso type mechanism be very difficult to affix —at 30 ft.- up- and then slip to the ground with any weight at all.
Easy.
From the US side...
See how it can make it taller?
The bollard design is actually just a starting point, a solid framework to be customized to the situation at hand.

“The Israeli walls also have these remore gun mounts:”
Whatever the design, machine guns have to be a part of it.
Easily breached for personnel entry by either cutting or winching slats apart. Also hard to detect a breach. Cut slats simply put back in place to conceal any entry location. Climbers know exactly what's on the other side. Plain steel is high maintenance - needs periodic re-coating. Relatively inexpensive, recyclable.
The Israeli design below, is much harder to breach. Not easy to cut or to winch apart. Must go over or under, or blow a hole in a section. Harder to conceal entry points. Climbers don't know what lies on the other side (large drop, sharp objects/brush) until they've reached the top. Low maintenance. Expensive, not very recyclable.
You cant as easily hide your presence behind it, for one.

But the bad guys can clearly see if the coast is clear. Once its clear, its easy to attach/anchor ropes to the top of the fence and scale it and descend by ropes down to the ground on the American side.
By the way, its easy to cover such sharp points at the top.
with sensors, drones and manned stations every x miles, it should work as an effective deterrent/early warning system
Should be always energized or else in a very random, unpredictable section-by-section pattern.
I would climb one side (ladder) and hammer wood down on a few spikes. Rope the wood and go down the other side. Would that work?
*** We gave Israel money to build it. But the same politicians do not want a wall like that for our own country. ***
I think that our Politicians should not be allowed dual citizenship. I know some hold dual Israeli American Citizenship. What other Countries do American Pol’s hold dual citizenship with?
They vote for things for Israel, but not for the US.
If it impales invaders who try to climb over, I’m fer it.
He promised a wall and we all stomped our feet when it wasn’t going to happen, so that is what is going to need to happen
Someone could easily throw a long chain ladder or double rope ladder over that and climb up and then down the other side.
That design needs to be topped with razor wire to be effective.
Skinny Mexicans can slip thru : )
...... With that flat plate in place at the top of the wall .... I doubt if anybody could actually get over. It's one thing to scale the slats .... It's a totally different ballgame getting over without being able to grab onto anything to scale the rest of the wall over the top ..... Without that plate however .... is another story.
I wonder what happens when we create a very large steel grid, so large that the earth’s electric fields have an effect on it.
I wonder if this is going to mess with solar weather - flares and the like.
If walls did not work they would not have them in Northern Ireland.

That leaves out the women,I guess.
