Presumably there will be an official autopsy in addition to this one performed by the family's paid expert.

Some LEOs are over eager to put notches on their guns.

Through out history Law Enforcement has drawn some of the worst criminal types into its ranks. But fire must be fought with fire, the trick is keeping it under control.

This is a reason why ccw’s are not cops, or armed security guards, and shouldnt act like cops, cops will mow them down and figure it out later.

I dont carry for the general population, they have decided not to carry, they have made their personal choices. I am not a police officer and dont intend to play one, because there is no scenario that ends well for me in doing so.

The police retracted their initial statement blaming Bradford, but it’s still not clear whether he had a gun in his hand when shot. That’s about the only thing that might have given some explanation for the officer’s firing at him.

The frequency and the total number of bad law enforcement shootings seem to have been increased exponentially over the past 20 or 30 years, IMHO...

Reminds me, to some extent, of the early Stalin years... It might be the reason those-who-rule-us purchased about 2-billion rounds of ammo during the obunghole years... It's called "planning ahead"... A strategy that the communists have successfully employed for 100 years or so...

“The police retracted their initial statement blaming Bradford,...”

That’s because they figured out real quick that their lies couldn’t hold up.

Like with all the other shootings and incidents in the past, I’ll await the official findings before making any judgements. What the media reports, 9 times out of 10, usually turns out to be wrong, and innocent people are tried and convicted in the press.

“but it’s still not clear whether he had a gun in his hand when shot”

But you can be pretty certain that the police put a gun in his hand AFTER he was shot.

MEMO: In a mass shooting situation the police are just as dangerous as the shooter.

Not likely the “paid expert” would lie about the shot locations/entries for an early jump on the media.

BINGO! This family deserves the truth and justice for inexcusable the death of their son. Backshot... three times. Unreal!

In that large mall, there should be video and probably more than one. If Bradford was not holding a gun, then this will be about as bad as it can possibly be.

Exactly. We are not trained as first responders. We are not bonded or insured as first responders. We should not act as first responders.

But they haven’t. I would bet a stack that the only thing that has increased is the news coverage of such things.

A man killed by an officer who mistook him for a gunman at an Alabama mall was shot three times from behind
In other words:

The man killed by an officer who mistook him for a gunman at an Alabama mall was shot three times in the back.

How helpful of the media to water down the terminology in an effort to obfuscate the facts...

Lets see...

Active Shooter..

Young Black man observed(reported) running from the scene with gun in hand.
OFF DUTY cop sees YBM running from scene, gun in hand and engages him and takes him down.

So apparently the ‘Good Samaritan’ trying to help and the Off Duty Cop also in civvies???? are both lucky they didn’t get taken out when uniformed police arrived.

MY GUN is for MY protection and those immediately around me.

I am not there to protect your money, watch, jewelry, cell phone etc, IF POSSIBLE I will assist in saving your life BUT that will not include me running amok in a shopping center etc etc etc.

And if Police arrive on scene and you are holding a weapon and don’t have a BADGE, figure you are going in cuffs till the situation is sorted out.

Hopefully you are correct... When you are 85 years old the past incidents probably blend together...

In the photos included in one of the articles I saw (probably from the UK), there was a picture of a handgun laying on the floor near the Santa’s Toyshop area. I don’t know if they’ve reported whose weapon it was.

"Exactly. We are not trained as first responders. We are not bonded or insured as first responders. We should not act as first responders."

I was a peace officer for 25 years in New York State. I could have bought a weapon on my badge, and carried, but I never did. Have never owned a weapon, not only because of the fact that my kids were young at the time, but also because once you fire your weapon, you are legally responsible for where the bullets end up.

Yep, the facts about the gun that was apparently at the scene seem to be the most critical unanswered questions unless video reveals something unexpected.
