It would be pointless for DEMs to impeach, because the Senate will not vote 2/3 for impeachment. In addition, it would give the opportunity for POTUS to introduce exculpatory evidence and also show their dirty tricks.

I agree with all you say greeneyes. And yet I am not certain the rats like Maxine Waters are smart enough to see the damage they may do. The behaviors we've seen from their leadership inciting people to confrontation and violence doesn't lead me to think they see the damage it does to their brand. Being so short-sighted as saying to kick us when we're down, if we bring a knife they bring a gun and whatever it was Hillary said about no civility till they're in control are short sighted to me.

The smart move for them is to act as you say. Based on the past few years I'm just not convinced they are that smart. They seem to revel in crazy.

If you think saying this isn’t a huge setback is spin, give your reasons.

1. Q has always said the challenge was to get what is secret into the open. Do impeachment proceeding provide that pathway? If I were to choose an adversary for the other side, Schiff, Pelosi and Waters would be my magic team.
2. The effect of this election was cleaning out deep state RINOs in both the House and Senate. Do you think this was unintentional by Trump?
3. Was there enough fear of a Red Wave that pushed out Dems to cheat? Is it possible that these were a sting, especially in California?
4. Trump hardly campaigned for swing house districts? Why not? Do you think he and his team would have been too stupid to know how to change that?
5. Are there benefits to having a strong Senate if the judiciary and executive branch have too many DS actors embedded vs a strong house?

Another positive to add to your list - we have 2 conservative Supreme Court Justices that we wouldn’t have if HRC had won.

I have read that a record number of judicial nominations have already taken place-in spite of foot dragging. With the new Senate the additional nominations for Judges, AG, etc. should go smoother.

Likewise Trade deals, sanctions etc. - a better Senate for those too.

Thanks for pasting the pasta from the Chans. And thanks to the other FreeQs here who are putting some clearer and upbeat perspective on what went down yesterday evening. I was not doing all that well seeing the “calls” being made for the derps in the House. And I’m here in GA where there hasn’t been anything decided between Kemp and Abrams as of yet despite Kemp’s lead. Supposedly there are 55K absentees from Abrams-type areas yet to be counted. Read into that what you will, and to put some icing on the absentee scenario here, there was a some d-bag election attorney in DC quoted on the local radio yesterday that the Gov election here will NOT be determined on Nov 6th and will be weeks in making a determination. Things that make you say “hmmmmmm”.

My native Ohio elected Mike DeWine as governor. That’s OK. He’s not real dynamic; more like a “steady Eddie”...a good “clerk” as McArthur said of Eisenhower at one time. Dependable. And my native Ohio District 12 stayed with the R incumbent Troy Balderson who was in a tight special election back in August but had a redux last night. This district was Pat Tiberi’s (retired...ahem) and before that the Son of a Postman.

So, Toddler, your chan post solidified my thinking in the wee hours this AM as I was trying to put some good paint on this outcome. We now have more Senate votes and votes of a good quality. There are more Trumpsterites in the Senate, and I really don’t think you can put too much importance on that.

One of the Q drops mentioned a “clean house”. Well...we apparently will not have the House, but I think it’s fair to say with all the “retirements” (again...ahem) and so forth, the backstabbers, fence sitters and limp-wristed squish weenies quarterbacked by Paul Ryan are gone...easier to deal with when the black hats and white hats are clearly seen now. “Clean.” Same with the Senate: Collins and Murkowski are now back benchers as Levin is fond of saying.

We all will have some easier breathing today as this gets sorted out. Despite how it looks on paper at this moment, the next two years will be fun as hell I think.

And limp-wristed squish weenies sounds like a great name for a garage thrash band.
