I had my bleached blond and was tired of doing the roots, so put dark brown color on it one night. It turned out purple and I had to go to work like that the next day. And that was before purple hair was a thing. Had to make an emergency appointment with hairdresser, she told me I should have added some red into it.

We have to cut it back to about a foot high and mulch it.
Comes back in the spring bigger and more beautiful than the year before.

I love Bogan Delia. I was happy when we moved to Bakersfield so I could grow some. Your Winters must be less severe than they were in Ridgecrest, I always had to find things that could handle the heat of the summer plus freezing in the winter. Our Landscapes were pretty Limited!

Beautiful breakfast table Jessi. I'm sure Road Runner had a BIG time at your table this morning. I'm running behind. I baked corn bread this morning to eat with the beans and ham I had in the slow cooker over night. Our electric went off a couple of times but thankfully came back on.
Trees and tree limbs are down ALL over our town sadly. I'm seeing several oaks and Evergreens. Sirens going off a lot too. We had a large ice storm through the nite. So it was quite a challenge running an errand this morning.
