The UK's last remaining feudal village complete with 17 traditional red brick farms, 10 cottages, a pub and even the title of lord of the manor is up for sale for £7million. Laxton in Nottinghamshire is an 1,845-acre heritage estate which dates back to 1066 when the manor was granted to Geoffrey Alselin by William the Conqueror. In 1981 the Crown Estate purchased Laxton to try and maintain the open field strip farming system and the village is now the only place left in the country to farm in this way, reports the Guardian.

To The Manor Born and learning about what it took to run Biltmore turned me off ever wanting a vast country estate.

That’s why one spends a lot on skilled help.
As introverted as I am, I would have the place locked down just for me and I would try to do it all myself.

The UK government would lay siege to the place for such a heresy.

Sure but there has to be opportunities here if given enough thought.
For example, remember back a few years and there was that craze called "dinosaur fitness", I dont know maybe it was "caveman exercise" or something, where people were paying good money for the privilege to do extreme manual labor?
Find some who will pay huge amounts of money to pick rocks and put them up in the cottages or something. We know England has its own pile of idiots, maybe a few want to show the rest of us the humane way to do animal husbandry, or a less rapacious way to harvest Gaia.

See, you know how, just reverse everything logically.
I know of a woman that uses a litter box to save the earth. Thats a not a drawback, thats a bleeding edge feature of your fitness resort.

All kinds of crime in a village of 489 as of 2011 census? Hmmm, must be mostly Muslim residents. 8>)

They will build homes for the Muslims on it.
