Is it a good one tonight?
9 homers total tonight.
Damn, shouldn’ve turned the game on 20-30 minutes ago.
The best part was the honor bestowed on all those Medal of Honor recipients before the first pitch.
American League is trying to run out of pitchers.

Two of the AL pitchers, Verlander and Cole, wont pitch because they haven’t had enough days since last outing.
Some of the players don’t speak English?
I thought it was rather moving.
The whole event was VERY positive, the players were having fun and no PC stuff.
You could never do what they did tonight in a football game.
It was just FUN!
“I thought the winner of this game got home field advantage in the WS.”
Not any more. The players on the winning team now split a purse amounting to around $20,000 each. Losing teams players get nothing
That took my breath away.
To be in the presence of one MOH recipient is a big deal
but all those guys together ? Holy Cow !
Maybe so...............
Now home field advantage is determined by which team has the best W/L during the regular season.
And the opening ceremony was beautiful, thoughtful and very AMERICAN..
and there were a total of ten home runs in the game..
American league WON...
THE BOYS IN THE DUG OUT WAS HAVING A GREAT TIME..REALLY ENJOYED IT..
AND LOVED GIVING FOX CABLE NEWS A BREAK..GOING TO DO MORE OF THAT...
I don't like inter-league play at all. There are enough teams in both leagues without crossing them over. It took some time for me to get used to AL teams after the Astros were forcibly moved to the AL after decades in the NL. Now I am used to it and do not like it when the Astros play NL teams during the regular season.
I was there. What a show!
The 10 HR in the game are a record. The previous record was 6. There were 221 homeruns hit in the Home Run Derby, a record. There were 8 in the Futures Game, a record. (BTW, a kid who hit two of those for the World team is supposedly involved in the Machado deal.)
J.A. Happ has spent his entire career as a starter and has no major-league saves. But he got one last night in the All-Star Game, in relief of a closer, who got the win.
You can’t help but wonder what Roberts was thinking when two consecutive Astros homered off one of his Dodger pitchers.
For those who are interested, the AAA All-Star Game is on MLB Network tonight.
Roberts must be unhappy-—he lost to the Astros last year.
However, he got a prize tonight as the Dodgers now have Manny Machado.
The headline prospect in the Machado deal, Yusniel Diaz, hit two homeruns in the Futures Game Sunday.
I would like to see interleague play abolished.
I never liked the home field thing.
Colavito actually pitched in two regular-season games, 10 years apart. He pitched an inning for the Indians in 1958 and one for the Yankees in 1968. He has a 1-0 W-L record. (He was the winning pitcher in that game for the Yankees.)
And the game (and thus home field for the World Series) would often be decided by some guy from a last=place team who was inserted late in the game.
We should abolish the DH. It has reduced strategy and made games longer for about half a run per team per game.
Besides, it’s fun when a pitcher like Scherzer helps himself with a base hit.
People say the DH lets players who are defensively challenged make it. But if you can hit, they’ll find a place for you. See Pete Ward and Dick Stuart.
