Comcast said Friday that the hours-long interruption of its internet, video and voice services, was caused two separate and unrelated fiber cuts to the company's large network providers. The company is working to restore services.
We identified two, separate and unrelated fiber cuts to our network backbone providers. Our engineers worked to address the issue immediately and services are now being restored to business and residential internet, video and voice customers. We again apologize to anyone who was impacted.
The company did not specify which providers were impacted.
A source told CNBC that one of the cuts occurred in CenturyLink's network.

Deliberate? coming at the same time as the other leftist protests, I’m going to blame leftist anarchists.
so ... two physically diverse, mission critical fiber bundles were CUT on the same day.
nothing is a coincidence.
Getting rid of Comcast was one of the best internet moves I’ve made, for several reasons, not the least of which is defunding the leftist msm.
Hmmm, funky business going on here. These fibre optic cables don’t just cut themselves & the timing stinks too.

I would like to cut Mediacom.
One more reason to get an Amazon antenna for one of the house TV’s...
Joe’s response was dripping with sarcasm. We were told by AT&T do do that last month, for a different reason.
Either anarchist leftists or Comcast’s outsourced work crews doing the typically crappy level of work they are known and loved for.
FBI would investigate but it’s too busy covering up it’s corruption under Obama
You, and virtually every other Mediascam customer!
Thats some sauce for the goose, right there.
We stopped TV last week. A huge waste of money. Still have internet because our son is in college.
Cut? That means someone severed those cables. Deliberate.
Well, Frontier Fios was installed in the neighborhood a few years back so we had an option there and went with them.
Anytime you quit Comcast, save all the receipts. Their inventory control sucks and they tried to claim I didn’t turn in my cable modem. Fortunately I kept the receipt that proved I did turn it in.
There is also wireless Sprint made to run insider your house instead of on a cellphone. That is a little pricey for the amount of data you get, but it is an option, if you have good Sprint signal around you (you can check online to see what your local Sprint signal strength is).
Taking down ATMs, EBT, debit card scanners. That could get ugly on a larger scale, and in the right locayion(s).
Thanks. I’ll check into it.
