On Sunday, a day we as a nation set aside to honor fathers and the bonds of family, I was among the millions of Americans who watched images of children who have been torn from their parents. In the six weeks between April 19 and May 31, the Department of Homeland Security has sent nearly 2,000 children to mass detention centers or foster care. More than 100 of these children are younger than 4 years old. The reason for these separations is a zero-tolerance policy for their parents, who are accused of illegally crossing our borders.
I live in a border state. I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.
Our government should not be in the business of warehousing children in converted box stores or making plans to place them in tent cities in the desert outside of El Paso. These images are eerily reminiscent of the Japanese American internment camps of World War II, now considered to have been one of the most shameful episodes in U.S. history. We also know that this treatment inflicts trauma; interned Japanese have been two times as likely to suffer cardiovascular disease or die prematurely than those who were not interned.
Americans pride ourselves on being a moral nation, on being the nation that sends humanitarian relief to places devastated by natural disasters or famine or war. We pride ourselves on believing that people should be seen for the content of their character, not the color of their skin. We pride ourselves on acceptance. If we are truly that country, then it is our obligation to reunite these detained children with their parents — and to stop separating parents and children in the first place.

Reagan capitulated to a one time amnesty in return for strict enforcement of the law. His successor, George H.W. Bush, executed the Democrat plan for loose enforcement. He set the standard for Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.
It is a fallacy to state the US immigration laws are the “problem”. The problem is the absence of enforcement. The Bush family shares a huge amount of the accountability for the immigration disaster.

Interesting that the current Immigration Law was done in about 1993 and used by all Administrations since then to one degree or another including Mrs. Bush’s husband.
I have been in running Debates since Friday with various Leftists and others who wail constantly on this practice but were somehow very silent when it was used before President Trump.
I have asked several times in my debates for alternatives, guess what, once again absolute Silence. They have no ideas only complaints.
As I see it there are only four choices:
1. Continue the current policies until Congress comes up with a better idea.
2. Catch and Release, photograph and fingerprint, then send back across the border with the understanding you come again it’s Jail.
3. Build huge Internment Camps to house everyone together. That will certainly spark outrage and then they compare Trump the FDR or worse.
4. Total Open Borders and let anyone and everyone in and just shit down the border patrol and not worry who comes.
Just want the Globalist, Socialists and the Democrats want. Just destroy the country and cheapen Citizenship.
If anyone has another idea that is practical please let me know.
Anyone who objects to their plan gets their digital money card slowed down or turned off and thus struggles to survive.

I think the best way to overcome their nefarious plans is to interrupt what is the only thing they care about: the free flow of MONEY toward their pockets.
