Upon signing of the spending bill, the President sent a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate. The President hereby designate as an emergency requirement ALL funding so designated by the Congress in the Act pursuant to section 251(b)(2)(A) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985, for the accounts referenced in section 7058(d)

I was wondering if We The People would be able to file a Class Action Suit against the Legislative and Administrative branches. None of them had time to read it before they were forced to vote, so they couldn’t have known what they were voting on. Maybe SCOTUS would decree some kind of “do-over”.

But if Trump has found a better way to fix the mess via 3D chess — even better.

This !ay not be a fix. This may have been the plan. Declaration of a national emergency, constantly saying the wall was needed to stop drugs (directly tied to the national emergency he declared late last year). Pumping 1.5trillion into the DOD and now the letter sent to Congress. Obviously watch for the actions but this could be a long con.

Me too. I think he did what he had to do for the military but I felt he would figure out a way to do what he promised. He is smarter than all the swamp creatures put together. He is not a career professional politician and even though he knows how corrupt they are I think his eyes were opened as to how bad it really is. He was angry about that bill but they ran out the clock on him. I don't think that will happen again.

He is doing all he can to keep his promises but he is being ganged up on. Corrupt politicians are panicking. People forget the good he has accomplished when things don't go their way.

I'm trusting my President.

Payback is going to be fun to watch.

If this is true, he rolled the never trumpers (not just democrats) in congress. They thought they were going to get away with stopping his wall and all other sorts of shenanigans.

Certainly the criminals got the pork they wanted. Is it a win for the President/Us? Depends on what the "objective" was?

Clearly for the President, his objective was national security. Life or death. He got his objective. So yeah that's a win.

But we will pay dearly for that. His point, I agree, is that price is cheap compared to the alternative.
