Far-left late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who is currently one of the most polarizing and divisive personalities in the country, admitted he has seen polls that show that his partisanship “has cost me commercially.”
“According to polls I’ve seen, it has cost me commercially,” he told Oprah Winfrey in an interview for her O Magazine. “That’s not ideal, but I wouldn’t change anything I said.”
“I know my job is, for the most part, to entertain people and make them laugh. That said, if I can be selfish every once in a while and talk about something serious that’s important to me, then I do want to take that opportunity,” Kimmel added. “But I don’t want to abuse my position. I pick my battles. Ninety percent of the time, I’ll joke around, but some of the jokes, I hope, make people think.”

I thought the Jimmy Kimmel late nite show ratings have been up the last year due to all his Trump bashing. Like Steven Colbert but a bit less so. Can someone give me the truth on this? Thanks!

Same here. I have not tuned into any late night show for years. Now David Letterman and Jay Leno...I could tell these guys apart. David Letterman was great back in the 1980s and into some of the 1990s. With great musical guests and others who were interesting and|or funny.
He “made me think” I should never support Hollywood lefties or their advertisers in any way.

I recall any such “mockings” of the Fraud occurring during Leno’s last year or so, and not being very mocking.

Most Conservatives and good natured and good humoured people - we can laugh at ourselves but the humour needs to be witty and well judged.
GENERALLY late night viewers of these shows are leftists on the coasts. That’s the target audience. So yes, in general, he can say all this stuff and get away with it without much impact.
