If my memory is right a single day ticket was around $45 dollars a decade ago. Disney theme park tickets have price increases in line with medicine and college tuition.

Disney was ~$76 for an adult ticket in 2008. They are definitely going up faster than inflation, but not 3x in 10 years.

Only a NFL player can afford to say, “I’m going to Disney!”

Despite the fact that Disney Corporation has shown itself NOT to be family friendly (e.g. ESPN SJW nonsense, Disney TV's leftwing-porno agenda, Gay Days at Disney) families still flock there.

It's amazing how much a corporation can deteriorate and still have its brand remain untarnished.

The MSM seems to be doing a real good job keeping the sheeple misinformed and uninformed.

Took the family to WDW 20 years ago. 3 rooms at Port Orleans for a week, annual passes all the way around. Set me back about $5,000. Wife and I went last year for 4 days, we spent that much alone just for 4 days at a Moderate Resort. Downtown Disney used to be a fun place to hang out after the park closed. It’s all gone. All gone.

Now it’s so expensive that the average family will go into debt for years, to take the family for a week. Rooms are triple what they were, $20 for a cheeseburger, fries and soda. And the burger is cold and the fries are stale.

Disney is beautiful and they have a reputation that is family friendly. It now they cater to those who earn far more than the average family can afford.

If you have a big group you need a 2nd mortgage to go to Disney World.

I'd rather pay a little more and actually have fun than pay the current rate and spend 3 hours waiting in line for a ride.

And while we're at it, please figure out how to keep out the riff-raff.

I live an hour away. Ticket in 1986 was $26. Then they also charge you to park. I refuse to go, much to the chagrin of the family. Too much money. Got better things to spend money on. The other parks go up when Disney does also.

Disneyland is all about greed now, Walt of course was a taskmaster and did not want to pay talent their true value, his excuse was they did step up to earn more. After his death however the level of greed has risen exponentially! Walt may at times spin in his grave from some of the unbelievable crap and anti family spew emitted by his company, but I can't help believing he would be smiling at all the money being squeezed out of his "guests".

As long as people are willingly giving up so much of their income to spend time in the Greediest Place on Earth, standing in line for a handful of rides, and being gouged for mediocre at best food, these annual prices increases will continue to happen.

My BIL works at Disney and can give us free passes, it's just not worth the aggravation. The last time we went was two years ago mid week while school was in session, parking cost I think about $18 (So much for free) and once we got past the oh so fun character search of our possessions to get into the park it was so crowded we could hardly move let alone get to attractions. I wouldn't go again for free, I sure as hell wouldn't pony up the price to go there out of pocket ever.
