Women Are Biologically Stronger Than Men, Study Finds

A new study has found that women are biologically stronger than men.

Despite ‘history’ teaching us that men come up trumps when it comes to lifting boxes, sawing down trees and winning pub fights all is not as it seems.

The study by Proceedings of the National Academy of Scientists of the United States of America reveals that women are actually more likely to survive a life threatening crisis than men.

Researchers came to this conclusion by comparing the death rates of men and women who were pitted against famines, epidemics and slavery.

The only two exceptions were the plantation slaves in 19th century Trinidad and freed Liberian slaves around the same time.

For one nanosecond, let’s buy into that claim...then, tell me why I - a biological male - should care...at all?

If so, why do they need feminism, EEO laws, and #metoo to overpower and control us?

And, of course, I’m sure this only applies to white males.

Researchers came to this conclusion by comparing the death rates of men and women who were pitted against famines, epidemics and slavery...yeah - that's certainly the way it works in catastrophes such as the sinking of the Titanic - women and children into the lifeboats first, men take what's left - did women ever show the men up in survival rates in that one - or could the findings of the study be a result of the fact that in mass disasters in general men are expected to take the lead in enduring the most dangerous, grueling, and punishing conditions to protect the ladies and "the children" - and that sure can wear a guy down.....

>>>”... biologically stronger.. Species need females to survive. More females than males, anyway.”

Yep. This should not be a surprise.

If this is the case, then basic training for women should be the exact same as it is for men; therefore, frak’ separating them, put let them go through basic training together, as one and the same!

Who paid for this redundant study? It isn’t rocket science-hell, it was being discussed in my HS biology class. There’s a reason for females to be able to survive extreme events like famine, epidemics, etc because if they didn’t survive to be impregnated, give birth and protect/feed/take care of that helpless human cub so it survives, we would’ve been done as a species before we even got going good.

The male’s biological role in all that is to do the heavy lifting, the hunting, the fighting, etc to protect the female and cub(s) so they survive to perpetuate the species. God made male and female to compliment one another in the survival game.

One small example-guy and I both do a non-wimp workout 2-3 times a week, with weights and resistance on the heavy side for our respective sizes-we both have small frames. The exercises, number of reps, etc are a bit different from each other-as a female, I do not have the bulkier upper body structure that he does, so I will never have the upper body strength of a guy-at least not without steriods, which are dangerous-my body wasn’t designed to throw spears, lift/carry heavy objects, fight etc. He does not have the abdominal and lower body strength and endurance that a woman does because his body was not designed for pregnancy and childbirth. Male and female have different strengths for survival for a reason-something both feminazis and metrosexuals seem to forget...

If someone does not recognize the reason a male and female were created with different strengths for different functions, I don’t see how they can ever really appreciate how attractive, and what an aphrodisiac that difference is...

Different kind of strength, I think. Carrying a baby around for 9 months, giving birth, and then nurturing it for another 5 years is not an easy thing.

BTW, I am a guy — the guys job is pretty easy in this area.

Nope, not the least bit true.

Only since childbirth became sanitary.

Mean life expectancy during the Middle Ages was in the low forties for women, mid-forties for men. Men lived, on average about 10% longer than women, even accounting for wars because childbirth and complications were so common.

Actually makes sense.

When my daughter was in the NICU, they told me that little girls survive better than little boys.

Think about it. Women give birth. If I had to pass something the size of a watermelon out of an opening the size of a lemon, I would die.

Not at all. Men have the same autosomes as women (22), and that’s 95.6% of DNA. The remaining pair differences are almost entirely determinative of sexual morphology, and don’t have anything to do with disease resistance or any other survivability factors.

Species need females to survive. More females than males, anyway.

Tell that to those throwbacks in India who treat women like crap because they can't work the fields.

It's not an actuarial assumption, it's a result. When you correct actuarially for more dangerous occupations, more job related stress (until very recently) and, in the 20th century, much more tobacco use by men, the differences disappear almost entirely.

In fact women are subjected to a much more serious and systemically more widespread cancer danger than men because their reproductive systems are so much more complex.

Women are not "biologically" stronger than men. They are behaviorally more risk averse.

‘I recall hearing that a man’s body could not survive the stress associated with giving birth.’

I’m sure there are some stupid females that believe bullcrap like that...”

They say nothing is more painful than childbirth, but I disagree. A woman will decide after a couple of years to do it again. Ask any man who has ever been kicked in the groin if he is ready for another shot. That answer will be no.

He does not have the abdominal and lower body strength and endurance that a woman does because his body was not designed for pregnancy and childbirth.

Sexual dimorphism is displayed across the board. Testosterone is not restricted to "above the waist" application.

Your friend is either neglecting his lower body workout, or has morphological problems. Power-lifting requires the entire body, including abs, back and legs, and women (real women) are not and will never be competitive in this area. A typical fit adult male has as much muscle mass in his quadriceps alone as a fit adult female has in her entire body.

The sex (not gender) that incubates the preborn must have a superior immunological system (including stress management), especially in the presence of inferior overt physical strength.

This is neither surprising nor original.

The pain of childbirth is often forgotten - especially in the desire for another child. Pain, in general, is often either forgotten or minimalized in the mind. I had shingles this summer and while I was in agony, today I can barely remember what it felt like. Very common.
