Dr. Dean Lorich, a trauma surgeon, was found dead with a knife in his torso in his E. 96th St. apartment on Dec. 11, 2017.
An acclaimed trauma surgeon was found dead, with a knife in his chest, by his 11-year-old daughter Sunday in his Park Ave. apartment, police said.
Investigators were treating the death of Dr. Dean Lorich as an apparent suicide, sources said.
He was under some personal stress, a police source said.
The surgeon was home with his daughter, police said, adding there were no signs of forced entry at the tony Upper East Side apartment at Park Ave. and E. 96th St.
The girl alerted the buildings doorman, who called 911. Police said the call was regarding an assault.
Cops found the 54-year-old doctors body in the bathroom around 1 p.m. The knife was near his heart, a source said.

Lorich volunteered in Haiti for 2010 earthquake victims.
Its devastating news. Dean was a friend and a tremendous doctor, said Dr. Soumi Eachempati, who traveled with Lorich to the devastated country. The medical community will have an extremely large void without him.

Was it a surgical knife? What surgeon would miss his own heart?
Sessions may be concerned about his own potential suicide by Clinton. Likely this message was also to him.
Eggsactly... A MD would have 50 better ways of doing this, especially with the possibility of having one’s body discovered by a young child...
The theory about the boot hiding a criminal ankle bracelet would make sense. I hope it’s true! Seems far fetched, but why is she still wearing the boot after so many weeks for just a broken toe. I broke a big toe very badly and the one next to it to a lesser degree, and I got around in sandals. Oh please, let her be hiding a felon’s ankle bracelet for monitoring her!
Old TV show call ‘Homicide: Life on the streets’ about Baltimore MD, believed Andre Braugher ‘first job’ Munch from SVU was there etc..
One episode started with a balloon floating along with a pistol tied to a string on it.
The balloon settled down in a back yard where a young kid found it....
Turned out the PD found a body expired from a single shot to head...
Seems the guy committed suicide and was ashamed because he was a bounty hunter and had been a SEAL or Airborne and was ashamed to be doing himself in..
Pretty ingenious though hard to figure how that balloon stayed aloft for that long.
OK, now it’s getting really creepy:
Check this out... he was a big supporter of the Iran deal:
Now, suspicious death:

NYC is great and that is a fine place within NYC to live.
Geez, what a horrible way to go.
God rest him in peace.
Furthermore, if he had any feelings for his daughter, he would have chosen a less gruesome scene.
“NYC is great and that is a fine place within NYC to live.”
No thank you...I value freedom and open space rather than drowning in an over regulated, overcrowded sea of ignorant, loud, rude democrats. Be my guest....knock yourself out.
We all know this was another Arkancide.
I actually value both.
And can see people beyond their politics.
We didn’t do it
I’m Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.
Guess he couldn’t jump out a window
With his 11 yr old daughter in the apt and he probably knew she would be the one to find him.
This really makes me sick. And angry.
TRAUMA surgeon. Believe me he saw plenty of horrific stuff here in the US.
Wormwood, anyone? (His 12 year old daughter was home, but if she was on her cellphone, she may as well have been gone.)
