Dr. Dean Lorich, a trauma surgeon, was found dead with a knife in his torso in his E. 96th St. apartment on Dec. 11, 2017.
An acclaimed trauma surgeon was found dead, with a knife in his chest, by his 11-year-old daughter Sunday in his Park Ave. apartment, police said.
Investigators were treating the death of Dr. Dean Lorich as an apparent suicide, sources said.
He was under some personal stress, a police source said.
The surgeon was home with his daughter, police said, adding there were no signs of forced entry at the tony Upper East Side apartment at Park Ave. and E. 96th St.
The girl alerted the buildings doorman, who called 911. Police said the call was regarding an assault.
Cops found the 54-year-old doctors body in the bathroom around 1 p.m. The knife was near his heart, a source said.

Lorich volunteered in Haiti for 2010 earthquake victims.
Its devastating news. Dean was a friend and a tremendous doctor, said Dr. Soumi Eachempati, who traveled with Lorich to the devastated country. The medical community will have an extremely large void without him.

No idea why Dailymail would even bring up these subjects?
“.....It wasnt clear if Lorich may have ran afoul with the hospital where he worked, being under review or accused of serious allegations.
It was not clear if the man was under medication or had been suffering from depression....”
It is also not clear if he speaks with Martians, believes in ghost or consults an astrologer but why bring up possible reasons which would support the police conclusion when the suicide notion in this fashion is so unlikely.
“Ive never known a US leader that had so much death surrounding them”
Lincoln.
True, Democrats did initiate the Civil War to protect their Slaves. Just like today, Democrats wanting to revolt to protect their Latin American Slaves. No difference.
I just read that too. man...this is crazy!
With rare exceptions they use pills to kill themselves.
Yes - he’d know how to do it painlessly and in a location where his eleven year old daughter would not find him!
The brazenness of this crime seems to mean Clinton is sending a warning to anyone else thinking of acting against her interests.
After reading about Lorich in Haiti, i suspect he was making noises about writing a book or doing an interview to detail the turnaround billions of dollars sent to Haiti (supposedly) where it all turned right around and flew to the Clinton Foundation and to Clinton connected companies.
He was pretty well committed after the first one.
Snopes is history; no longer exists, with good reason; A Clinton conspirator...
Is he a Jap?
If the wife and daughter came home and found him there with the knife sticking out their first assumption, and anyone’s would be- that he was assaulted by a killer. If they had found him hanging in a closet and a suicide note then it would be different.
They found him stabbed and thus would have called 9/11 and so of course the first report would be of an assault.
It’s always reasonable to be suspicious of suicide cases as suicide is a logical cover for murder.
As someone else posted, he was being sued by a guy who claims he botched his surgery and ruined his life a an athlete. Not unusual for doctors to be sued, rightly or wrongly. But it’s possible if a guy truly believes his doctor ruined his life that he might not settle for a settlement and might instead kill the doc. And it’s possible if the doc was a perfectionist and knew he had screwed up, that he might not forgive himself, and might even try to punish himself, which might explain the knife.
And there are a host of other things he could have suffered from... such as going to Haiti and seeing how horrific and extensive the death and destruction was in the 3rd world compared to what he was used to in the states... and the two worlds are not even far apart.
For all his skills he was nearly useless with literally no resources or support, meanwhile after trying to do some good he gets sued for no doubt a ridiculous amount by an athlete in the states whose life is still, by comparison to anyone in Haiti’s, a blessed one.
All we really have to hang conspiracy on is the method of using a knife isn’t one we could ever imagine ourselves using, some questionable sources, a CNN report that he had gotten information about conditions in Haiti from first responders including the foundation, and the suspicion everyone has about the Clintons because they are so crooked and vindictive in so many ways, up to and including the use of thugs.
I don’t think it was suicide either, but the doorman would know of anyone entering the building. Could’ve been someone who lives in the building, though.
“Is he a Jap?”
Yes. According to a reliable source from CNN, the doctor is an admirer of Japanese culture and committed sepuku after several Haitian young girls accused him of child molestation. Hillary Cliton was shocked and saddened by the news of his death, according to a another highly placed source familiar with the Clinton Foundation.
Harry Truman’s got to hold the two day record with Little Boy and Fat Man. With friends like that, you know there’s gonna be a bunch of death.
Because nothing says “good-bye” to your loved ones like a bloody carcass in their kitchen.
Hey it worked for Brutus. The old tradition of falling on your sword.
Maybe a trauma surgeon wanted to go out via trauma and this was less messy than jumping out the window.
Seriously, his poor little girl.

I responded to the home of a woman who hanged herself. Her ten year old son found her and cut her down.
Neither a painless death, nor one that spared her child.
Come to think of it, I had a neighbor who had found his father after suicide, when he was a boy.
It happens.
Next we will hear he stabbed himself in the chest 7 times
Well, you got me there. Truman was quite the mass killer
