The NFL is in crisis...they will need two teams who can generate ratings and TV power. The Dallas Cowboys look like they will make the 2017 playoffs again and the Patriots are defending Super Bowl champions, so they will make it as well. NFL executives probably want a Patriots/Cowboys Super Bowl to get ratings back, or else they are done. The Chiefs can't generate the eyes that the Cowboys or Patriots would. Just my two cents.

The New England Pussyhats vs the Dallas Cowpies won’t have half the usual Superbowl audience.

The Cowboys look very much like an 8-8 team to me. Dez isn’t Dez anymore, Elliott is struggling and their D is weak. They are 2-3 and two games back in their division, why proclaim them an obvious playoff team?
My dog loves the Puppy Bowl. That’s good enough for me.
I can see the NFL making the players stand nicely for the anthem thru the rest of the season, and then pulling a big kneeling stunt at the Super Bowl just as a middle finger salute to the USA when they know no one is going to walk out.
And maybe hiring Miley Cyrus to twerk the anthem at the SB...
The NFL is dead to me.
I don’t think officiating will be enough to tilt the scales in favor of the Pats this year. Their defense is in shambles and their offense is shaky this year. Just my $.02 but I don’t think Brady and co. Are going to the SB this year.
I’m a Cowboys fan but the Super Bowl looks a little optimistic this year.
The Cowboys are 2-3, 1-2 at home, and 3rd in their division, and frankly just don’t look good. At this juncture they are unlikely to make the playoffs.

I’ve lived in MA my whole life. Pretty big Patriots fan. Hey, Tom Brady, what a guy! Probably the best ever! The thought of New England being in the SuperBowl again this year? Against the Cowboys? WOW!

I’ve been boycotting the NFL for years now, a few years back it was clear they wanted a Dallas - Green Bay NFC championship game that in the Dallas-Detroit game the refs were deliberately blowing calls against Detroit even on the replays to ensure Dallas won.
To paraphrase Bart Simpson, I liked football when I thought it was real like wrestling, but hate now that I know it’s fixed like boxing.
I am a no-longer-watching Cowboys’ fan.....The NFL might hope for it but they are not making they playoffs. Record of 2-3 with two choke home losses. They will be lucky to stay ahead of the Giants and finish 3rd in the division.

The way they’re playing now, neither team is going to get there.
