From what I've read, the Amazon warehouses work their people like dogs in a high stress environment. It's not the same Amazon like you see in Silicon Valley where workers skateboard around the campus, have gourmet chefs in the cafeteria and get to bring their dogs to work while sitting in beanbag chairs.

It's like what I told my son when he applied for a job at the Apple Store down at the mall. This isn't the same Apple of Cupertino. No!

I understand that they burn out people like sparkplugs in a classic car. Burn them out, get rid of them, replace them with new ones.

Why not? If you don’t like it find another just job. If there’s an opportunity cost involved with your time, it looks like someone compiled some resources on their environment for you here. Good luck, not a bad decision here, it’s a job!

Seriuosly, do you need a job? If yes, go for it. If you are quitting a job you have handled for 5 or more years, think about it. Otherwise consider yourself a millenial and sit in Mom’s basement.

From what I’ve read about their warehouses/fulfillment centers, no snowflakes need apply.
