All people are exactly the same. Differences are due to racism and white privilege. There is no difference between Somalia and Iceland, other than white privilege.
My dear grandfather, who also never smoked or drank, died from liver cancer in the early '60s. He was a farmer. I suspect the cause in his case was exposure to toxic pesticides and herbicides over many decades of farming.
So it is clear that for many afflicted, liver cancer is not due to bad 'lifestyle' choices. But article seems to indicate the current statistical spike has a lot to do with drugs, alcohol and increased incidence of hepatitis. IOW, increased decadence in our de-moralized culture.
Yes, you are hitting on an overlooked (ignored) source of cancer and chronic health issues. Glyphostate aka Roundup is in nearly everything we eat. Consider GMO foods that are “Roundup Ready”, and high fructose corn syrup. Look up the way it is made, see also old dvd “King Corn”. Liver and kidney failure is skyrocketing in other areas of world where glyphosate is being imported for ag use. And think about other atrocious chemicals in our food and water. Just consider how commercial poultry is raised. And our water, full of chemicals that standard water treatment is unable to remove. And BTW I am beginning to wonder abt safety of so called organic food. hmmm
It’s been shown to protect the liver against toxins. Google it, there’s a ton of information out there.
Most cancers are simply chance events. DNA replication is not 100% error free, and with age, the errors in replication in the wrong places increase. The rest are due to other factors.
LOL! Good one.
We have utterly failed at keeping predators off the street, these days what parent would allow their children to 'go outside and play, be home when the streetlights come on.'?
Same for my mother. Cancer has multi factorial causes.
I learned in nursing school way back when that radon gas causes more lung cancer than cigarettes
No doubt, there is nothing that comes risk free, absolutely no action in life is without risk. That’s why we must understand the risk-benefit concept.
Ok, now I recall. How does one go about finding a product with known quantities of active ingredients?
Yep, what to do about radon exposure when you live in a rocky area with the continuous release into the air? There is little to avail exposure in some areas.
That’s odd, smoking and drinking have been trending down for years while liver cancer up?? Call me old fashioned but that used to be called an inverse relationship.
I just get mine at the local drug store in the supplement aisle. 100% milk thistle is what you are looking for. I take 2 capsules every day. It’s totally natural and safe.
I think you’re right on the money there.
Because everyone knows the high end research hospitals are concentrated in North Dakota while the folks in the Washington -Baltimore area have to get by with basic medical care, like Johns Hopkins and Georgetown University.
If you really want to map it, compare liver cancer rates with the sale of organic produce - I'm sure there is a positive correlation in concentrations there. Or more broadly, with Vegetarianism.
Smoking is down, but I think drinking is up? The wine industry has exploded. no?
As an aside, how does natural imply safe? I see no basis for that claim.
Prohibition would lead to people drinking lousy alcohol, denatured alcohol, and methanol. You might see prevalence go UP in prohibition.
