I think most of those phrases are highly useful. Sure, styles change, but if they do their job communicating a thought or idea succinctly, that is a good thing.
I know what a guy means when he uses the phrase “paradigm shift”. And it takes a lot more words to communicate the same thought without using those two.
The single phrase that annoys me is “robust”, if only because it is overused. i.e. it is used where it does not really apply. It’s become a sort of marketing term.

I used to be irritated by a number of those phrases. However, like the ms Word ribbon, I’ve learned to love and use a lot of them. They may irritate people, but they get the point across succinctly.
I’ve been known to say, “Let me reach out to, touch base with, contact, have a pow-wow with Bill.”
