“Reach out” is horrible! Makes me cringe and want to slap someone every time.

Because when someone says, “reach out,” I think of “and touch someone.” Like around 300 meters.

Me too. What is wrong with the more concise and direct “I will call him” or “I will email him?” “Reach out” is so beta and 1970s encounter group touchy-feely.
