HOUSTON - The starting point was a Facebook post by a group called Texas Antifa.
The post alleges the Sam Houston Memorial's so-called demise will begin on June 10.
Why remove it?
Other posts by the group explain its stance.

Sam Houston was the only Southern Governor who opposed breaking from America and joining the Confederacy. He spent the last year of his life under House Arrest, and he died thinking his life was a failure....all because his beloved Texas broke from America and joined the Confederates.

Antifa had better be prepared for the fight of their lives, if they intend to remove any monument to Sam Houston in Texas.

What gets me is the Lefts feeling about our history, considering that most of them are decedents of those who migrated here in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Those Ellis Island legal immigrants. Its like asking Italy to remove all those Roman era statues. I probably have Roman slave blood, but who cares? I’m not going to whine about it and ask for the Colosseum to be bull dozed because some ancient relative of mine was fed to the lions. There are peoiple out there who are worst than terrorists, they are deviding us to destroy us and start a new country. They’ll call it Utopia and ship anyone who disagrees with them to Northern Alaska to work in the gold and Uranium mines. Then they’ll be happy.
