There are thousands of great male singers, but there are probably only a few that you know that really stand out. In your opinion who are the three greatest male vocalists of all time?
*NAT...
Nat was as good on piano as he was as a singer.
I couldn’t listen to Geddy before “Hemispheres”, he sounded much better when he started singing like a normal person.
it sure as heck doesn’t include Springsteen!
Jim Morrison
Freddy Mercury
Robert Plant
I heard that same thing from an FR FRiend.
Mario Lanza, Elvis, Sinatra
HA! ...interesting choice, I’ll go with David Draiman of Disturbed.
That’s a formidable top 3.
This is my very favorite video of Pavarotti. I’ve probably watched this 15 times along with 4+ million others!

In addition to Luciano Pavarotti, I do love Frank Sinatra and Andrea Bocelli!
Benjamino Gigli is the third.
ML/NJ
Roy Orbison
Bruce Dickinson
Steve Perry
I bet most famous singers will give the nod to Orbison, at least as far as rock.
Freegards
Mel Torme
Steve Perry (Journey)
Mickey Thomas (Starship)
Mark Stein (Vanilla Fudge)
Dylan, Sinatra, more in “stylist” mode.
Well, I’m an instrumentalist, and I don’t really hear lyrics. I jear the lead vocalist as an instrument. Odd, I know. Here’s me playing with world reknowned guitarist Neil Zaza.

“Ronnie James Dio”
The Voice of Heavy Metal
Al Hibbler and Brook Benton. (great singers when you help empty out an old Rock-Ola)
Joe Cocker
Steve Winwood ("Dear Mr. Fantasy")
Heres a must see 2-min clip of him on Rowand & Martins Laugh-in from the early 70s.
