Fox News just showed Jodie Foster speaking to a group of actors and telling them NOT to give THANK YOU SPEECHES but instead to Give POLITICAL SPEECHES at the Academy Awards.

I think the awards are booooring and I have not watched it for 35 years.
How can you boycott something you already refuse to buy?
Don’t know if you saw this thread. Turns out that Katherine Johnson actually used any restroom she wanted to use. Just another ramping up of ‘hate Whitey’ for effect I guess. We liked the movie, but the race-baiting was unnecessary.

BOYCOTT THE ACADEMY AWARDS!!!! As if the majority of non-leftist don’t do so, already, for many decades and counting. I HAVE AN IDEA: Let’s have a PRO-CONSERVATIVE ALTERNATIVE to the Academy Awards that involve non-leftist movies, actors and actresses, camera persons, stunt people, etc.

The last time I paid to see a movie in a theater was 1977 when I took my 5 year old and all of his buddies to see Star Trek.

Watch the awards for the first three minutes then turn it off.

No, they still go by the Nielsen numbers...which come from the Nielsen families only.
I used to work for Nielsen, and sat in on some of the meetings with cable providers to try and capture this data... it's meaningless because they still can't tell how many are in your household, if you're really watching or not... or anything else about you (age/race/etc).
I think the TV folks prefer it the way it is anyway... the people who sign up to be Nielsen families are biased from the start... they tend to be TV watchers in the first place. That in itself skews the numbers... it's a real racket.
That's good to know. It was one of the two parts of the movie that looked particularly contrived. What a shame.....here's a gem of a movie that sets the historical record straight. Then what does Hollywood do? Pollute it with the agenda.
Agree. And not many people will have read the review in the UK Daily Telegraph, so they won’t be aware. I thought the end, where only the Black ladies went into the new computer room, rang false, too. I am sure there were many Black AND White women who were working that room. Probably men, too. It IS a shame that ‘Hollywood’ used this powerful story to promote their agenda.
