OK. Gotcha. I don’t care that Ivanka and Gore are talking; they’re both lib whack jobs. I just hope Trump listens to his people re the climate change hoax and doesn’t get sucked in to Gore’s con.

You’re right that dialog is good, especially when it comes to optics. In that way, he’s the un-Obama who shuts out anyone from the right.

The congress is a joke...Boehner, McConnell and they put Paul Ryan in again????

They have screwed us over and over again...

Not to mention John Roberts...

It seems that when we absolutely need them to be conservative they don’t ultimately vote that way..always at a critical moment.

Don’t confuse mantra with an actual free market.

What the politicians call free market isn’t.

Free market means the government doesn’t pick winners and losers.

Watch some Milton Friedman to understand what free market capitalism really is.

Thank you, well said.

Last time I voted that actually mattered was for Ronald Reagan.

Hopefully Trump will do enough to get us on sustainable track forward.

Those sneaky bastard progressives, establishment type seem to get worked back into the equation every time.

Not stated agenda Nifster.

The agenda only ends up as good as the people you pick to implement it.

Common Core needs to go and with his education pick I doubt that will happen. Look at the mindless twits on college campuses today...we need to take back our early education in this country or better yet privatize ALL of it.

It is one thing to manipulate the tax code which is good for business...get the government the hell out of the way and reduce their market distortions.

But to plan a trillion dollar stimulus like FDR? Didn’t we just do that? It takes things like recessions and either stretches them out for years or turns it into a depression. They are way off on this stimulus idea???

They are thinking Hoover and FDR. Bad shit all around.

While I agree with several of Trump’s picks (not the best he could do...but probably good enough).

A couple of pillar’s of the progressive agenda have a high chance of being preserved with a few of the choices so far.

Isn’t now the time to speak up and fight for different people or are we just supposed to sit down and wait and see what happens...I don’t know about you but hope isn’t a strategy in my book.

Oh Mark my have you fallen..... I use to respect your opinion, but not anymore.

Did anyone ever tell you not to count your chips at the table?

It did not go well for Al Gore.... if you must know. He was not happy when he left.

Although if you do not believe that, then look at PEOTUS positions.

President-Elect Trump is for EXPANSION of drilling for oil. He’s for turning back on our coal industry. He does not believe in the carbon tax, all the regulations and says Global Warming is a hoax.

I know a few of you diehard Cruzbots have jumped the shark when it comes to Trump.... You want to trash Trump so back all because your Canadian Cuban, who was never qualified for POTUS, lyin’ Ted lost in the Primaries.

The Primaries are over Mark and Trump has won the election. Either get on board or join Glen Beck. It’s okay to be passionate about the Primaries. I get that. However at this point it’s just dumb!

That’s why I called you the Dumb One Mark. You let your ego get the best of you.

Very sad....

Yep its called discourse...the only way to excellence is through hard and deliberate discourse.

Sitting down and shutting up just brings mediocrity..AKA USA now.

What he did with Carrier is NOT conservative.

Selecting someone who is a huge common core supporter for education is NOT conservative.

Spending 1 trillion in stimulus is NOT conservative.

How about just eliminating ALL of those non-conservative departments?

How about putting forth an actual agenda that slashes government by over 80%

How about pushing for a constitutional convention and getting balance budget amendment, term limits?

How about returning all the state land the federal government has seized?

Good Grief!!!

Look at the video of Owl Gore leaving his meeting with Trump.

That is the video of a previously smug, commie, slimeball who has just had his sit-down-shut-up-come-to-Jesus moment.

That basically was what my argument was alluding to, that it wasn’t a free market. It was a losing market that was providing growth only for our competitors. While at the same time destroying our markets. Only insanity would insist upon it continuing along the course it was on.

The mark levin followers are delusional

Trump is picking interesting people. The ed secty pick for example has been painted as favoring common core when that is mot her position at all

Cherry picking and presenting half quotations is not convincing

The leftistskeep winning because they nibble at the edges. They tasked what they can get. Conservatives keep losing because they pout if they don’t get a whole loaf

What is even meant by a free market? To many people it means different things. What the desired outcome of a market place is the highest possible exchange of products and services that enhance society as a whole. Be it local or global. Where winners and losers are the result of the marketplace, period. Where manipulation by the current winners to keep innovations from seeing the light of day, are not allowed to take place.

That may be an over simplistic definition, but I think it pretty much spells out a free market. There is no perfect definition that really exists, because there are disagreements as to what exactly a free market is or even should be. Does it have controls, or does it operate completely devoid of controls? Should it contain warnings, or should it be caveat emptor? Should it be subjected to rigorous testing, or should it be limited to less stringent testing? These are just examples of the questions that are raised to determine what is a free market or even should be, and I'm sure it is not even close to being the complete list of what people view should be considered in a free market.

So to answer your question, no there has most likely never been a free market, only varying degrees of market freedom.
