Penn State’s only chance would have been if the committee held Washington’s non-conference schedule against them. But with Kent State, Pitt, and Temple then Penn State’s wasn’t a whole lot more challenging.

They were also beaten by Michigan but the poor calls by the refs allowed them to win in overtime.
I am a Clemson alum. I watch every game with my eyes half covered and breath held. They are taking years off my life.
They all won their conference games except Ohio State who lost to the Conference champs.

Return to the traditional bowl games for the various conference champs and forget the entire 'rankings' hoopla.

A Conference Champion should be automatically awarded a certain number of points that is added to their total.
Ok, how about a 6 team playoff with the top 2 teams getting a bye the first week?
Alabama has played Washington four times previously, twice in bowls and not since 1986. Huskies fans were holding up signs at games late in the season, proclaiming "We want Bama."

This one is right. Ohio State deserves to be in it as well as a much deserved Washington. Clemson had no worries as VT was their only obstacle.
After watching most of this year, Alabama has their best team in 50 years. The defense is fast and powerful.

Yes too bad for PSU, but basically a mulligan was allowed, 2 were not.
My main complaint is that Bama plays at 3 AM Thailand time, wish they had the later game.
