"I have no interest whatsoever in dressing Melania Trump"
Fashion functions as a reflection of the times that we live in, which is why it should come as no surprise that sartorial choices can be extremely political.
Michelle Obamas embrace of young American designers of color like Tracy Reese and Jason Wu during her two terms as First Lady or Melania Trumps choice to wear a dress to the RNC by Roksanda Ilincic, viewed as a nod to how Ilincics Serbian background paralleled Melanias own Slovenian upbringing. (Obama has also supported the popular designer.) A style decision at momentous public moments can speak a thousand words....

She’s not my type, but “ugly?” Really?
My thoughts exactly. I’d rather have a survey of maids discussing whether they’d clean Melania Trump’s toilet than listen to these self-important gasbags.
“Then why dont they receive affirmative action in education and hiring?”
Just ask yourself how that would harm America.
The forces of evil don’t voluntarily do anything that doesn’t harm America.
When my wife worked at Sears Optical, Sears had the Kardashian Kollection. No, really. They may still carry it for all I know,
“I just found out Mexicans are people of color. I thought they were caucasians.”
Pretty sure they used to be, except for the “Indios.”
I worked for the state in Sacramento, medium sized department. Management meeting on Affirmative Action. We needed more hispanic females according to God or the governor or someone. They weren’t applying and we spent money recruiting, didn’t want to work in prisons). I pointed out we had 12% Asians (Sacramento a lot of Japanese and Chinese at that time) And the Asian population of the state was like 7% or close. So I proposed we hire fewer Asians. Well the shat hit the oscillator and I was a nazi until some of the idiots left.
If they did the top 100 schools would be around 98% Asian. As it is they have to jigger the scales to let other races in.
Melania doesn’t care much about anything except Donald, Baron and the rest of the family. She’s passionate about being a good wife and mother. I think she’s amazing.
When they are part Indian, which many are, they are not entirely Caucasian.
Ivanka is not a true designer.
But I see Melania does wear a lot of Ralph Lauren. He is a first class designer and will design for her.
She at least photographs well and is a natural look for fashion lines.
Michelle Robinson is also beautiful but, her taste is all in her mouth when it comes to clothing.
She really looks wonderful in simple and elegant outfits, sans boob belts.
Still, Melania’s looks and grace are timeless and will be seen for years a wonderful addition to the White House History of Beautiful 1st ladies and at least on par with Jackie O.
Hell, that whole damned family makes me sick.
How could be there many handsome men and beautiful women around the dinner table at the holidays?
Ain’t an ugly one in the bunch...Cept Tiffany.../S which is probably why she is still single....LOL
Hey...I volunteered first !@
It looks like the more prominent designers would consider it an honor. Can you imagine what a coup that would be, for some young designer to get to dress the FLOTUS, and oh by the way, the one who used to be a super model??!!!
From day one we were told how beautiful and classy M.O is, and yet she is hardly that, now we have a beautiful looking, classy, elegant woman , and the media have done nothing , but put her down.
I honestly despise the media, they’re nothing but scumbags.
If you knew Wu....
but the media tells us how chewbacca is beautiful.
I can;t wait till those two women get together for a photo op. No wonder chewbacca did not want any photo’s being taken when they met. Melania is pure class, and beautiful.
Tiffany is a bombshell, but in a very different way than Ivanka.
IT seems the only fair thing would be for companies to hire a Majority of every race, color, creed, and sexual choice.
Considering what they did for Moochelle and Hillary, I don’t think she needs help.
