If you voted for Donald Trump, you may not feel welcomed at Grubhub.
The CEO of Grubhub, an online food delivery service, sent a company wide email Wednesday suggesting employees who agree with President-elect Donald Trumps behaviors and his campaign rhetoric should resign.

Guess what butt wipe, I don’t use your stupid web site. So, stick it.
fascism.
Wow—does GrubHub have a board of directors?
Not to worry.
Methinks that clown’s business will not last long.
And the schadenfreude part of it will be that he’ll probably be forced out by some even more liberal billionaire.
But, of course, it’ll be Trump’s fault.
I read a bit further into it. The businessman did hot say he would fire people just because they “like Trump.” His intent is/was to prohibit them from adopting Trump’s more unsavory rhetoric, which is well within the proper means of maintaining a good business. “You want to talk trash? Fine. But not on my dime.”
I love when they basically tell us not to patronize their business. Great tip, thanks!

many Freepers have called..i called and politely asked the customer service rep to inform the CEO he was a bigot for not allowing those with other points of view to work in his shop and when we were done protesting and boycotting his business the CEO would be living on food stamps..

Amazing how intolerant and exclusive the tolerant, inclusive types are.
He and the Co. are getting SLAMMED on social media.
I’ve used then several times. I’m no longer going to use them. Money out of their pocket. The company has walked back the comments to say that he was just saying that prejudice wasn’t welcome. That the company doesn’t care who you voted for.
Guess what, Grubhub, your employees will take this as an open invitation to harass any employees who doesn’t pass the Hillary purity test.
Inclusion and Tolerance in the Workplace 11/10/2016
This years presidential election was undoubtedly divisive and left many of our employees feeling concerned. In response, I wrote a company-wide email that was intended to advocate for inclusion and tolerance -- regardless of political affiliation -- during this time of transition for our country.
Some of the statements in my email (please see full text below) have been misconstrued. I want to clarify that I did not ask for anyone to resign if they voted for Trump. I would never make such a demand. To the contrary, the message of the email is that we do not tolerate discriminatory activity or hateful commentary in the workplace, and that we will stand up for our employees.
Grubhub welcomes and accepts employees with all political beliefs, no matter who they voted for in this or any election. We do not discriminate on the basis of someone's principles, or political or other beliefs.
I deeply respect the right of all citizens to vote for the candidate of their choice. In fact, I offered extra flexibility on Tuesday and encouraged all our employees to go vote. There is a place for all points of view at Grubhub. We value diverse perspectives and believe those perspectives help to create a better product and a better workplace culture.
Grubhubs leadership team has worked for years to create a culture of support and inclusiveness. I firmly believe that we must bring together different perspectives to continue innovating. We are better, faster and stronger together, and so is America.

After reading this article, I looked up what Grubhub’s stock price was. It was down today about 10%, but there was also an article about how the aforementioned CEO just cashed in 90% of his stock.
I don’t know much about the company or if this is legal, but either he is wiley and deliberately tanked the stock price to buy it back at a discount (seems illegal), or if he got wind that he was on the way out after this stunt. Either way, I would be surprised if he lasts as CEO until the inaguration.

They have an NYSE listed stock GRUB, down 4% today.
I called the restaurants which Grubhub serves in my city and told them I’ll not do business with any company who punishes employees for supporting a candidate on their own time. I directed a couple to Grubhub’s Facebook page. Two have said they are terminating their contracts immediately, two others plan on bringing it up with the owners.
No; you are incorrect. The email is a fascist directive aimed at thought crimes.
You may not be aware; but we had a big election this week. Fascism and political correctness like this was soundly rejected.
Uh oh...expect there will be a former CEO pursuing other interests in the near future. Stock price tumbled 13% back on Oct. 26. Hostile work environment for Trump supporters.
Bad combo for CEO job security.
Goldman sachs told its employees they could not donate to Trump.
