But, what about combining wine and ice cream? Sounds amazing. But it also seems downright difficult, come to think of it.

Don’t eat this Ice Cream right before driving out of the parking lot. You may want to buy a donut to go with it.

When I was in college, we discovered an astonishingly delicious combination: fudge cicles and beer. Believe it or not, they go together marvelously. We even threw a party based on it. Big hit.

Don't see how this is new. People have been putting alcoholic beverages in ice cream for some time.
In fact it is thought the first "snow cream" was made with a reduced wine syrup.

Not surprising. My late dad's favorite was rum raisin. I'm partial to bourbon butter pecan. Our local booze palace actually has an ice cream freezer that stocks nothing but alcohol-infused ice cream of various varieties.

I’ve made gelee out of Spumante and poured it over blueberries in a wine glass and let set in the fridge. Those were tasty. Not sure I would want wine and cream together.

I thought about that instead of the usual Hershey syrup. Is it really good?

Delicious, both on vanilla ice cream and chocolate — or a combination! You can also add goodies like chopped pecans along with your Hershey’s syrup, too. It makes great adult sundaes. (Also add to McDonald’s chocolate shakes ... yum!)

I’m allergic to tree nuts, so pecans won’t work. But I’ll definitely try it when I buy my next batch of ice cream.
