Donald Trump repeatedly mocked Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., as Pocahontas at a press conference in North Dakota on Thursday, even as a Native American woman present at the event interrupted to call his comments offensive.
Thats very offensive. Sorry, the woman said.
Is that offensive? You tell me, Trump asked.
The woman replied that she was offended, and Trump quickly repeated the phrase.
Oh, oh really oh, Im sorry about that, Trump said before turning to a reporter who had asked about Warren, immediately using the term again. Pocahontas. Is that what you said?
Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has previously used the term to refer to Warren as an allusion to a controversy over her past claims of Native American ancestry. Warren listed herself as a minority when she worked as a faculty member at a pair of Ivy League law schools in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Though she reportedly is 1/32 Cherokee, that would not qualify her to be a member of the tribe. The issue made headlines during Warrens 2012 election campaign and she defended herself by claiming her family stories held that they had Native American roots. His record has been bad in terms of, you know, speaking about other indigenous people across the border. Mexicans. They are indigenous to their country. And we didnt have borders back in the day on the continent, you know, we were all indigenous people that were roaming freely in what is now Canada, the US, and Mexico, Robertson said.
Robertson, who described herself as a member of the Cree Nation, also alluded to Trumps German ancestry.

She had red skin on her hurt butt. Oh, wait.
I am pretty sure one is not allowed to join groups like “La Raza” until after their divorce with reality has been finalized.
“The woman I’m thinking of, She
loved me all up”.
I was talking with an Indian and I mentioned “Indians”. Another white guy standing there corrected me and said “Its Native American”. I looked at the Indian and said “Indian is okay with you - right?”
“Um, yeah. That’s what we call ourselves.”
I DID learn something though when I asked him if he was from the local tribe. He said yes - but that’s only the white’s name for it. He said that the original Indians only had one tribe - and one name. “The People”.
“So you all had the same name - but you were still different groups, right?”
“Well yeah - you’re not going to steal women and slaves from your own group!”
I didn’t get into it with him - but stealing women for wives was probably a good idea to help prevent too much inbreeding. I suppose they figured that out over thousands of years of trial and error.
Massachusetts is the most demonic state in the US. It’s something a nuke canntot remediate.
I can’t even express how refreshing it is to see someone NOT giving in to these “I am offended! You can’t say anything that offends me!” crowd.
It’s long, long past time that someone told them to screw themselves. It’s what we should have been doing all along to them.
Ha ha Trump is just keeping the media yakking about whatever he pleases. Now, the issue of Fake Injun Lieawatha Warren will linger a little longer, and the damage get a little more severe.
Trump’s enemies are Toast.
I agree. Referring to Warren as Pocohantas is offensive — to the real Pocohantas.
Princess Liawatha is much more appropriate and a better fit.
Correction:
Princess Lieawatha
or
Princess Liarwatha
I prefer Lieawatha. It’s closer to the truth.
LOL - BINGO!
I call Indian Casinos “Indian Casinos”, not Native American Casinos.
I just read about re-read about the Battle of Wyoming and the Cherry Valley Massacre.
Interesting story.
We hunted elk in New Mexico and it was when We were getting hit hard with taking care of our environment. I asked what his Tribe did about taking care of the environment.
He just said “when the camp gets too nasty we just move the camp”.
Like perversion is a plus for a Democrat candidate, stealing a seat in Harvard Law School is a "coup" for a law school applicant.
EXACTLY!
I think it was a tribe that offered to do a gene test and she declined...lol!
My wife is provable Cherokee but even she doesn’t go around claiming things for an affirmative action job.
