HOUSTON (KTRK) -- When you think of felony forgery your thoughts might turn to Al Capone or Bonnie and Clyde shooting it out with the Texas Rangers.
Not for some local school cops. For one day, public enemy number one when it came to forgery was 13-year-old eighth grader Danesiah Neal at Fort Bend Independent School District's Christa McAuliffe Middle School.
Now 14, Daneisha was hoping to eat that day's lunch of chicken tenders with her classmates using a $2 bill given to her by her grandmother when she was stopped by the long arm of the law.
"I went to the lunch line and they said my $2 bill was fake," Danesiah told Ted Oberg Investigates. "They gave it to the police. Then they sent me to the police office. A police officer said I could be in big trouble."

I can hear Rush now "Women and minorities hit hardest."
Well, I’m white and went to put a check from a vendor in the bank and the lady FLIPPED OUT! she said it was fraudulent and followed me out the door blabbing.
Wife put it in her bank with no problem.
Switched banks.
A bit of Houston trivia, there is a scrap metal dealer on the west side that advertises paying in $2 bills.
Fort bend county is west of Houston.
Some family member counterfeiting money?
A Police officer didn’t know about 2 dollar bills?Did we just endorse stupidity as the national pastime?
It’s the 3 dollar and 8 dollar bills that get me in trouble.
I doubt if any of these clowns have ever seen a $2 bill. The ignorance of the police and school officials in this case may be showing. I have some stashed for the grandkids which are quite old.
I used to go to the bank all the time to get $2.00 bills for the kid’s lunch money. They thought it was kool.
Times, they are a changin’
..”I went to the lunch line and they said my $2 bill was fake...
That’s because it didn’t have Van Jones portrait on the front.
Quick. Who’s on the $2.00 Bill?
Is Barry on the $3 bill?

The cop should be in big trouble, but he won't be. After all, without absolute indemnification he couldn't freely threaten and intimidate 13 year old girls over valid currency.
Idiocracy didn’t do justice to the clueless, terrified, authoritarian moron-state of 21st century America.
Martha Washington? /sarc.
I saw the image while reading this story elsewhere.

Didnt occur to me at the time they would go the way of the dinosaurs or else i would have held onto a stack of crisp ones.
Several years ago I was in line at the grocery store one night and the guy in front of me tried to pay with Sacajawea dollar coins. The clerk told him, “We don’t take foreign money.”
It’s the 7’s that trip me up ; )
My kids all got a series of $2 bills from their grandfather when they were young...c 1965.
