1. Prevention: Create a situation that is unmanageable, something so large and widespread across the country that any declaration by Obama will be made ineffective. Engage massive numbers of lawful gun owners in a frequent display of force and unity against tyranny and violence. An observable, training and coordinating armed population will deter revolutionary forces simply by making it's presence known. Stand together and make your own declaration as a community: We are too many. We have forged alliances with our constitutional sheriffs. We will not recognize a declaration of martial law by this subversive administration.
2. Join a Militia: Better training. Better organization. More formidable hardware. However, less in number and easier to target than option 1. There's also the potential of unwittingly becoming involved with unsavory or questionable characters you may not want to be associated with. Do not pledge yourself to any man or cause other than your own natural, inalienable rights.
3. Plan to respond after martial law is declared: A general rule of warfare is never agree to fight the enemy on their terms. When a task force shows up at your door, you've lost the battle. You are outnumbered, outgunned, outmaneuvered. The goal at this point is to take out as many of them as possible and, if you survive, reclaim your rights and quality of life.
In this senario you can:
a. Hide all your prepped food, water, sanitation, medication and weapons around your property or at friend's and family's to mitigate confiscation by FEMA and disarmament agents. Let them take what they find then go back to what you were doing. But if they return frequently they'll dwindle your supplies. Or you can:
b. After the task force leaves, high tail it to your partner's house, get the weapons you've stored there and set up an ambush at the location you've scouted out earlier to wipe out the enemy and recover your provisions.
c. Booby trap your house and turn it into a badger hole, adopting the attitude "If you stick your hand in here you aren't getting it back, I don't care if I have to take you out with me." Install cameras, motion detectors, keep your guns on you and stay alert at all times. If they catch you off guard you won't have any effect. If you go this way consider yourself, everybody and everything in your home lost. But if you create enough casualties and enforcement disasters to make a routine appearance on the news, they might change their approach. They're already using social pressure urging your community to convince you to disarm.
4. Become a hermit: Try to evacuate to a forest or wilderness area and survive like a caveman. Throw away all traceable electronics. Take only what you can carry and cover your tracks. Remember, poaching a king's dear means a death sentence, and there will be drones.
5. Conform: Do nothing. Plan nothing. Say nothing. Go where they herd you. Eat and drink as little as they say. Work as hard as they demand and hope they might go away in a few weeks, years, decades...
Which is more preferable? To prevent a bloody civil war with antirevolutionary methods or struggle in a counterrevolution after it has begun? Once martial law is declared there will be virtually no recovering any natural rights or quality of life for a long time. We can not allow the president to go that far. Barack Hussein Obama has welcomed the formation of many Islamic colonies across the country; Sharia no-go zones where law enforcement are not allowed. My question is: Where are the American colonies? You might consider moving to an area where you outnumber those who are revolution-compliant. As an arms bearer, do not let yourself become isolated and compartmentalized in our society. Defy surveillance. Stand together and announce that our society is a no-go zone for any fundamental transformation troops.
FReeper Display of Arms and Bearers is an opportunity to prevent or prepare for martial law by peacefully organizing on line, participating in mass civil disobedience using words, pictures and videos as weapons. Display your defense training here once a month and organize with other FReepers. Keep buying guns and ammo. Start asking your neighbors if they would like to come to the shooting range with you. Start talking with them about civilian alert and surveillance systems you can put in place to come to each other's aid and upload any confrontations to the internet to be viewed by the public. I will post this thread on the 1st (or 2nd) of each month regardless of participation until Obama is out of office. This is not about being macho or a badass. It's about a very primal principle: gun stops violence. It's about meaning no when you say no.

When the odds are in the house's favor, a casino is the last place to go to prepare for martial law , unless you are looking for a good meal and an unlimited buffet .

I don’t think that would be true. Citizens fighting the military, police and all the little police subsets while under the pervasive camera scrutiny via satellite and other cameras and computer monitoring and no communications will make it a long, most likely unwinnable war.

It won’t be a bunch of citizens rioting in the streets. We have very professional and organized patriot groups such as Oathkeepers and the 3 percenters as well as a network of Constitutional sheriffs and other LEO’s. Many of the military are Oathkeepers. 70% of the military will never even go along with the plan.
Most of our military is overseas fighting foreign wars. We don’t keep a big standing army anyway. When those guys come home most of them are mustered out in 6-8 weeks and back in civilian life.
We have literally tens of thousands of highly trained military combat veterans with sophisticated personal weapons out in our populace.
Every state in the Union has a militia or multiple militias.
The US military has wargamed itself against the American public before and they lose bigtime in each scenario. There are not enough troops in the US to subjugate 3 large cities. So no martial law is not a winning proposition for the President.

And before I get the “what about a jet fighter?” response, ISIS does not have an air force.
During my USAF days, we training deployed to a barren airstrip on an ANG base. We were give 3 days to setup operations and security, then the ANG would attempt to infiltrate. Our first casualties were a sandbag bunker manned by 4 enlisted airmen with M16s. It was taken by a desguised ANG grunt with a .22 revolver.

I agree with you , the post was responding to someone else.
This is coming from a homeless, estranged trucker who's been betrayed, abandoned by Christians and damaged by their religious system. I've had to develop these skills to cope with loss, anger, depression, anxiety and reconcile my belief in the Creator with what has happened to me. Flexibility, adaptability and improvisation are Ways of the Warrior. It is the objective distance to perceive, truly perceive the big picture and act based on that rather than moving mechanically within the practiced motions of a narrow study.
Based on arguments I've had over the last 6 months here on FR, it's clear we are electing the way of pain by waiting to react to a government engineered socioeconomic collapse rather than preempt it by organizing now. I'm sorry I'm not sorry, but "Jesus loves you," "pray and read your Bible" are not adequate skills to save you from real, violent revolutionaries or to navigate a dystopia. Since no one is willing to stand together, I suggest we take the Kiltsman's advice and train to survive alone in the wild. There is a war coming.

Hey, WAKE UP! Nobody promised you a rose garden! How does what has happened to you stack up with what happened to Joseph? Sold into slavery? Imprisoned after falsely being accused of rape? Or how about Samson? Had your eyes gouged out lately?
If you read One Samuel, you will see that every time David got in trouble was when he did something using the “Ways of the Warrior”, without asking YHWH what to do first.
So it is fine to train and prepare, but only do those preparations that the Holy Spirit tells you are necessary. Also remember, if He tells you to do one thing in a given situation, and that situation comes up again, ASK AGAIN, because He may want to do things differently the second time. This is another thing that David learned.
So, I say again: Read your Bible and Pray!
Hey nothing could be worse than what the Brits did to my people for 400 years. Facing down the US govt will be a cakewalk compared to that. Things might look a little rosier if you got on a mild anti depressant. Just sayin.
