I don’t think that would be true. Citizens fighting the military, police and all the little police subsets while under the pervasive camera scrutiny via satellite and other cameras and computer monitoring and no communications will make it a long, most likely unwinnable war.
It won’t be a bunch of citizens rioting in the streets. We have very professional and organized patriot groups such as Oathkeepers and the 3 percenters as well as a network of Constitutional sheriffs and other LEO’s. Many of the military are Oathkeepers. 70% of the military will never even go along with the plan.
Most of our military is overseas fighting foreign wars. We don’t keep a big standing army anyway. When those guys come home most of them are mustered out in 6-8 weeks and back in civilian life.
We have literally tens of thousands of highly trained military combat veterans with sophisticated personal weapons out in our populace.
Every state in the Union has a militia or multiple militias.
The US military has wargamed itself against the American public before and they lose bigtime in each scenario. There are not enough troops in the US to subjugate 3 large cities. So no martial law is not a winning proposition for the President.
The only one will win a fight with either the military or police today with all the gear they have or can get is on a television program or in your mind. In a fight with either, one’s only option is dying as a man on your feet or dying as a slave cowering and groveling on your knees.
Apparently you missed the Bundy Ranch incident. 500 US patriot militia comprised of a lot of former combat vets sent the BLM, govt hired Mercs and Las Vegas SWAT scurrying home.
Govt agencies and LEO’s operate on the phi!osophy of overwhelming force. They aren’t so brave when faced down by an equal and fearless armed opposing force.
