I voted for Cruz in the NY primary because I thought he was the most conservative candidate. But it's over. Trump is the nominee. Any contested convention with the number of delegates Trump will have will guarantee defeat in November. I will not sit at home either and let the Clintons back into the White House without a fight. I may not have voted for Trump (yet) but he is what I have to work with to defeat the Clintons and save the Supreme Court and that's what I plan on doing starting tomorrow morning. I'm all in, and that's the only way we can save a generation from the Obama/Clinton new world order. I hope some of you can join me that said never Trump. He's so much better than Hillary Clinton and her entourage. I also think Trump will now reach 1237 so let's come together.
Thank you
You speak from experience, no doubt. Which contested or close convention did you attend? 1952?
After all the ‘Trumpanzee’ crap? Cry me a river. For people who can’t seem to take it, you sure can dish it out pretty well.
Time to put the big girl panties on and get over it. On both sides.
Ha Ha
Really cool post. Thanks for that.
Thank you very much.
God bless and keep you.
#neverHillary.
Vote Trump!
Too long we have marched in lock step, voting for what is "best for the country".
Time and time again we have supported the one chosen for us to support.
Look where we are, now.
Can you honestly say you will lose more sleep over Trump, than the status quo?
Do you really assume that Mr. Cruz or Mr. Kasich or whomever the RNC shove down your throat will allow you to get a better night's sleep?
Perhaps, just perhaps, it is time to flush the whole enchilada, and start fresh, with a lover of the country, warts and all, and see what comes down the pike.
D Trump is not the savior, nor the fixer of all that ails us, but he is in fact a fresh face, (albeit mouthing same same for a while)and actually wants to put the USA first.
What is the problem with that?
I am backing Cruz too. I don’t support anything but the delegate leader getting the nomination. And I’ll vote for Trump assuming he gets the nomination.
I will still log my vote for Cruz in Indiana next week.
It was not a one-way Street! Those who supported Ted Cruz work equally abrasive if not more abrasive.
This Cruzer has been vilified and attacked by Trump supporters on FR. I don't feel welcomed or wanted. But I love my country. So go see my post above.
I don't believe I ever resorted to calling Trump supporters names or accusing them of lying.
I have been called every name in the book simply because I have serious doubts about Donald Trump's conservative credentials. Now you guys want those of us whom you have called every name in the book to get on board the Donald Trump bandwagon.
Well, we'll have to see how hard left he turns after tonight. I live in California, so my vote will not count in either the primary or general elections. So don't count on me drinking the kool aid, unless Donald Trump gives me a lot of very good reasons to vote for him rather than simply to vote against Hillary.
Frankly, they both scare me. Hillary more than Trump, obviously, but I view Trump as more or less Romney with bad hair and an inflated ego.
I'd better shut up or the Zot Police will be coming for me.
BTW isn't your handle a tribute to Karl Rove?
I know I would have eventually come around to supporting Cruz if he was the nominee. It has been difficult for me to choose between the two. I actually voted for Cruz in the Alabama primary. Somehow, I started leaning more to Trump. There really hasn’t been a clear choice for me.
I can respect that.
Welcome aboard. Yes, it is an existential election and if that means choking down another excrement sammich, so be it. Our future is at stake!
Some maybe, but I only experienced vile posts when I either defended Cruz or criticized Trump, and the posts were quite vile. One poster was so obnoxious that I felt compelled to report him to the mods. They suspended me for being a pain in the ass. Go figure.
Understanding that Trump is full of bravado and enthusiasm, there is a side of him that can be seen just by spending some time looking at what he has accomplished in the private sector as a business man.
Take a look...

That's what he says, but in reality he always puts Donald Trump first. He says a lot of things and then backtracks after he says them. I'm not going to point all of those reversals out because I don't want to get zotted. But you know what they are. You just choose to ignore them.
No, but I believe my father was. And anyway it’s not only human nature it’s politics itself to discuss and form your core group of supporters in advance. Contested conventions worked much better before 24/7 news. The people will not back a candidate that wins close to 35 states and the popular vote these days. They’ll watch it unravel on TV and stay home.
Glad that we are on the same team. God bless you.
Frankly and honestly at this point I think the only way to unite the party would be if Trump didn’t win the first ballot and had to go with his hat in his hand to get the necessary delegates to put him over the top.
The party is so fractured right now, and this forum is evidence of it, that if Trump wins without having to humble himself and be a “party” guy, then Hillary will win in a landslide.
But that’s just my opinion and apparently it is an opinion that might get me zotted, so I’d hope you’d keep this between you and me. :-)
