Trump to American Workers: Drop Dead by MARK KRIKORIAN March 4, 2016

Any time Donald Trump has to talk about any aspect of immigration other than his border wall – the one Mexico’s going to pay for, in case you hadn’t heard – he falls back on his donor-class, crony-corporatist instincts. In the October CNBC debate, he essentially embraced Marco Rubio’s support for increased “skilled” worker visas and praised Mark Zuckerberg, both positions diametrically opposed to his published immigration platform.

Then in the debate late last month, he embraced the Chuck Schumer/Marco Rubio position that there are Jobs Americans Won’t Do, specifically low-skilled jobs at his club in Palm Beach, and that foreigners have to be imported to do them. In Thursday’s debate, he reiterated both anti-American-worker positions, favoring the importation of more high-skilled and low-skilled foreign workers. “I’m changing,” Trump said, regarding his views on skilled visas. “I’m changing it and I’m softening the position because we have to have talented people in this country.” True enough, except that we already have twice as many technical degree holders as there are tech jobs.

What made Trump’s “I’m changing” comment even more shameless than usual for him is that just on Sunday he held a rally featuring former Disney employees who were replaced by the very foreign worker program he’s now praising.

No one wants to live in the Havana Jeb & Rubio created, just ask Cruzer Tom Tancredo.

When did the neo-cons at National Review ever want to put a halt to the 3rd World invasion, and the wholesale replacement of white working class people with cheap Mexican labor?

Even worse, it creates a self-fulfilling prophecy; less American children WILL invest in higher education/job training (because they won’t be offered the jobs anyway), so at some point down the road (when today’s thirty year-olds are dead) these foreigners will be necessary.

I remember Bill Gates whining that American kids didn’t go into computers anymore - no doubt because HE WOULDN’’T HIRE THEM ANYWAY.

There is a quickly released erratum posted as breaking news.

Mr. Trump often seems mixed up or confused when speaking and subsequently releases a correction on his positions.

Mark is the head of the Center for Immigration Studies and an expert on all things immigration. He is not a journalist/writer. I have been getting emails from him for many years on illegal immigration.

Gosh, this makes him (for this topic) almost as bad as....gasp....Cruz.............the only difference is that he isn’t afraid to state the truth that hurts so much - we have made so many Americans so lazy and endowed them with the “I’m privileged” meme that many really won’t work at jobs that many foreigners would jump at......

Well, Freeman, you are exactly right! (A little Cruzadian lingo) Donald Trump is a type of Samson: Doesn’t drink, has wild hair, chases foreign women, gets really upset if the treat him unfairly, really good a slaying Philistines, and brings down the Temple of Dagon.

re "National Review"

Yesterday I penned a rather long email to Michael Medved explaining why Americans are "angry".

That good man, and I think he is a good man, like the leaders of the GOP, is completely incapable of understanding or even acknowledging the level of utter disgust we have in the current intelligentsia.

This is an example. The reason there are jobs that Americans won't do is because they, the lower classes, can make more money sitting on their asses.

Why should they work some drudge like job and lose the freebie benefits they get from being "poor"?

Likewise, when all of their MBA classes teach that the way to increase the bottom line is to reduce labor expense by replacing "expensive" Americans, who are expensive only because of the ridiculous tax burden we have to pay to carry the aforementioned "poor", they cannot compute the anger of the middle class.

Trump is a very imperfect candidate, but the one sure thing we know about him is that he scares the bejezzus out of the GOPe, and really, isn't that enough.

For a long time I’ve been suspecting something, that Trump and Cruz are secretly working as a team. This has several possible scenarios.

1) If Trump is amazed by Cruz’s brilliance and philosophy, and wants him to be POTUS, yet knows that Cruz would be torn to ribbons by the Republican establishment and the media, so is running as cover (very effective cover) for Cruz. So Trump takes the heat. Then when it is down to just the two of them, to make enough gaffes to hand the nomination to Cruz.

2) Or Trump figures he will win, and wants to put Cruz in a strong position of authority, like appointing him to the Supreme Court, or having him take an axe to the bureaucracy.

3) Or Cruz figures that Trump should be the VP, acting as the face of the administration while Cruz gets a lot done out of the limelight.

4) Or some other cooperative agreement, which is always a possibility

Well you are corrected in that the chattering class is totally out of touch with the rest of America. They are having a hard time accepting the inevitable.

That's right Georgia Girl.

The pundits at National Review and Conservative Review are serious TDS sufferers.

They need to get a prescription to Trumpazine now!

BTW, actually my wife and I are selling our house in PA next month and are moving to the north Atlanta burbs.  Nice to know we're moving to solid Trump country!
