RUSH LIMBAUGH SPARKS OUTRAGE After Suggesting Trump is Pandering for KKK Vote
Gateway Pundit ^ | 2-29-16 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 02/29/2016 12:50:56 PM PST by dlt

On Sunday Donald Trump went on CNN and was asked once again about David Duke’s endorsement. Trump told Jake Tapper he didn’t know anything about David Duke or white supremacy.

This sent shock waves across the liberal media and GOP establishment circles.

Except that is not what he said. Truth should be our ultimate goal here. The writer of this article took Rush out of context. I was listening this afternoon while I did my work.

Agreed. I just read the transcript from Gateway Pundit as well as listened to Trump on the Morning Shmoe.

If you read the transcript instead of blindly believing the headline, you'll see that Rush is actually taking Trump's side in two ways: (1) Pointing out that Trump was concerned that Tapper initially lumped in other groups with the KKK, something most accounts conveniently leave out despite that Trump said he was concerned about who they are on the Morning Shmoe, and (2) Trying to figure out why Trump wouldn't immediately disavow the KKK. Rush's conclusion is that because of the special nature of the Sunday shows, Trump didn't immediately disavow because he didn't know the other groups.

You know, there's fighting back against the MSM and there's jumping to the tune they're calling. The Trump supporters are increasingly falling into the latter category and need to recognize that the MSM will play them like fiddles if they're not careful. The irony is that Rush taught us long ago to not be played by reading transcripts and listening to what was actually said rather than take the MSM at their word.

I just looked up this recent NBC story. The David Duke quotes come awfully close to an endorsement. He says "That's why he doesn't have my full endorsement..." but goes on later to say "Donald Trump has the potential to bring in millions of new voters who agree with our positions. Based on the analytics, I would say my support is very strong."

Haven’t you figured it out yet? Now, according to many of the Trump camp, Rush has joined the enemy camp. They are now demonizing Rush too for not being 100% in the tank for and on-board with a Trump endorsement. See how intolerant these people are? That is no mere accident or coincidence, btw. It’s who and what they (really) are.

You should have learned that much from Trump's campaign.

There was nothing to learn from Trump's campaign, because he was offered up a softball that he should have crushed into the seats, and instead he gave a nonsensical answer. The fact that he's denounced the KKK and David Duke in the past made this a no-brainer, and Trump applied exactly that the question: no brain.

Oh come on people. I heard this. He did not say that. He was telling the story and the angles. Comprehension is important.

The emphasis I heard was not going through this again on a Sunday show.

That is exactly what I heard and thought also. I don't know what all this hullabaloo is all about. The only thing Rush was, as some posters above have speculated "assuming" was just that.

I'm really getting sick of some of this crap which I believe are posted by trolls wanting to splinter the conservative base of the right. JMHO

Right.

If Trump wins, HE’LL be “America’s Truth Teller,” and people won’t need Rush anymore.

There’s no other explanation for Rush’s behavior. The other day he was literally, repeatedly mocking Trump, while saying the only choice for conservatives was Ted Cruz. And he HAS to know Ted Cruz isn’t going to win the nomination and that, if he somehow does, there’s no way he’s going to be elected in the general. So Rush, while unconvincingly claiming to be “on the fence” is taking to the mike each day and attacking his own party’s likely nominee. Stupid on the face of it.

Is this a serious post. Trump will be “America’s Truth Teller?” and won’t have a need for conservative talk radio?

I’ve always been a Rush supporter..

He spoke so well of getting his Cochlear Implants, that when I learned I could also have an implant, I used the knowledge I gained from listening to Rush...I am now bi lateral implanted as is Rush, that being said.....

Rush is no longer someone I will follow...I’ve taken him off my email mail list and no longer listen to him on radio...He has left me very disappointed in him..

Sad for me to say this...very sad...I truly believe NO ONE in this Nation supports the activities of the KKK...that is in the History of this Nation...lets move forward.

Here is my response to Rush Limbaugh.

Rubio today is saying he wasn’t part of the Gang of Eight amnesty agenda. That he wants to secure the border. That he only showed up to these meetings to be polite.

Now Limbaugh is saying he only showed up to the meetings to be polite. A nice, big fancy, lunch.

Everyone knows, and everyone knew, what the Republican establushment was, and is, trying to do.

FOX “bosses” have been totally exposed as the Chamber of Commerce open borders cheap labor amnesty crowd they are, and they hate Trump. More than a few of the anchors are doing what their bosses told them to do. They went to the secret meetings. As far as I am concerned, FOX is no longer fair and balanced, they are whores.

If I were Rush Limbaugh, I never would have gone to that secret meeting, nor even if a big fancy lunch is part of the venue, or had a webinar with theme or smoked a big fat cigar with them.

He should have never even gone there.

But he did.

he didn't say, or conjecture on what the reason was.

He did conjecture. You weren't paying attention. Not surprising. Any -- even vaguely perceived -- criticism of el Supremo turns off all rational thought in the Trumpanzee mind.

This is what I’ve been hearing from Rush lately too. Will be finding something else to listen to from now on. Disapointed in Limbaugh.

I was listening and Rush did say that maybe Trump wasn’t wanting to put off any voters by denouncing the Klan.

But that was nothing compared to the full hour Trump spent trying to defend himself after he went to dinner with Chuck U Schumer who was asking him to tone down on the amnesty bill in 2011. Which Limbaugh did. He never told his loyal audience he was dining and letting Schumer et al control the content of his show. And boy was he setting up straw dogs this morning. He even used about 4 of the Clinton defenses. (It was a long time ago, I never inhaled/did what Schumer asked, Rubio wasn’t even there, “rush hater troll conspiracy) For a larger man, Limbaugh put a lot of effort into his tap dancing. Carrie Ann Inaba gives him a 7.

Very sad to know Limbaugh is not trustworthy, and I have absolutely loved him since 1994.

Now, according to many of the Trump camp, Rush has joined the enemy camp.

It's getting harder to tell the players without a scorecard.
