Glenn Beck, who has been in South Carolina campaigning for Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz this week, called in to his eponymous radio program Tuesday to talk about the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. What he said garnered a strong reaction from the media, which he is now calling “outrageous.”
Beck’s radio show co-host Pat Gray could not wrap his mind around why God would allow Scalia to have passed away in a moment when the U.S. is so divided politically. Beck, hoping to provide an answer, called into The Glenn Beck Radio Program from the road to explain his view.

Shortly after his radio show ended, several media outlets — including Mediaite, Raw Story and CNN — reported that Beck said “God killed Scalia” — a claim the radio show host pushed back against strongly late Wednesday night.
Beck went on to write that he believes in “divine providence,” something he says Americans have historically endorsed, which he uses as the linchpin for his argument that God might have “allowed Scalia to die.”

Seriously? It's pretty clear Beck things God "permitted" Scalia's death to elect Cruz.
I don’t know if rights permit me to repost the image from the article here, so I won’t, but that image is just begging for a million and one crass photoshops.
Beck is a lunatic. It was an insane thing to say. Beck is no more a mouthpiece for God than the Pope is.
No, it’s not clear. NONE of these liberal articles backed up their headline with an actual verbal transcript from Beck.
Fixed it for you.
Interpreting the mind of the Divine Providence is a difficult thing.
It helps if one is actually a prophet. And it helps if God actually sends the prophet a real message and not a ‘feeling’.
I really prefer commentators on the reasoning of the Providence — if the Providence has not actually spoken to them — to LIBERALLY scatter lots of maybes, perhaps, and “this is my opinions” throughout their prognostications and fulminations.
So you believe God is not omnipotent. God was suprised by Scalia’s death?
Thank You.
“All things work together for good to those who love God who are the called according to His purpose”
A true Christian tries to understand thing in the light of God’s sovereign will and trusts that He is working these out according to His divine plan. If God is, it can be no other way.
This just in...Glenn Beck is full of it!
I am starting to wonder if Trump or Rubio hired Beck to completely derail Cruz.
If you have not yet figured out by now that Beck is a disturbed person, then you likely have not been paying full attention.
WTH are you talking about? Beck just admitted God "allowed" Scalia to die at that moment to elect Cruz. Are you really allying yourself with this psychopath just because you also support Cruz?
Why don’t you ask Him, and then tell everyone here what He thinks?
No he did not. He said "perhaps God allowed Scalia to die at this time to wake America up".
A distinction without a difference
Raw Story, Mediaite, and the rest of the liberal pukes are glad you see it that way. (Their way.)
This is true. Beck is quite eccentric, at least.
On another matter, at this moment the US is not unusually divided politically - it’s been like this more or less since 2001, and I don’t see it changing except for the worse. The only change since 2001 is that people are beginning to realize that this is the new normal. Americans are Serbs and Albanians living together.
Would you say Beck's looneyness is as clear as the perversity of the creator of your cultural Avatar - H.R. Giger?
Eat this.

After you're done burning holes in the floor - maybe you can enumerate for the class the ideological principles that constitute Der Trumpenflipper's history of "conservatism"?
We'll wait.
